Great lunch and achievement for me to ski down off piste to this great place. We had the vegan bowl and we'll deserved beer. Had a look around the rooms, all spotless and very modern. Would love a yoga retreat here. Amazing cat!!

If you love the mountain and want to get away from the crowds, this is the place to go! The hut has all modern comfort, is completely self sufficient. It has a hip, cozy atmosphere and is run by a young couple: she Italian from the region, he Australian. Being in such a remote location I was stunned by the...

I love this Rifugio as it is quite hidden, even if it is becoming more and more popular. Plus they serve wonderful vegetarian food. A part from the food, this wooden but modern hut is very well thought and planned to have as low impact as possible for the environment. Intriguing to me as you can stay overnight and do...

We went to the Orestes Hut on recommendation by a Mountain Guide. I was looking to introduce my partner to what a mountain refuge was but not scare him off, it was perfect! The walk in from the lift station was beautiful and took only an hour. We were made to feel very welcome by Marta as soon as we...

if you have the chance, come here for break, for a drink or lunch. Nicely and modern design and what a charming couple hosting the place. Ask for hot chocolate, and they ask if you want the dark choco version or the spicy version. Ask for coffe matcha and they offer three types of milk (cow, soya, almond) Lovely stop,...

This "refugee" is reached either by skiing down to it from the Inderen cable car over some challenging off piste or by using snow shoes or skins to come up to it. It is very modern inside despite it's remote location. The menu is limited to just half a dozen items but our party of 5 found enough variety to...

Another fab stay at Orestes last week with Phil, Marta and the team. Although we didn't get the snow we had last year to take advantage of the off-piste, this didn't stop us exploring each day. Plenty of running, walking, scrabbling was had plus a little on-piste skiing once the hangover had subsided on New Years Day. Our group took...

Spent an awesome 5 nights at Orestes hosted by the team of 6 hosts over New Years. Hard to describe how beautiful the spot is but the 20min skin up the track at the end of the day was well worth it. Both breakie and dinner hit the spot with plentiful portions to keep us going during the day and...

Completely awesome place, by far and away the most luxurious and fun mountain hut I've stayed in bar none. The team that run it (led by Marta and Emil) are brilliant, fun and attentive. The hutte itself is beautifully designed and completely pristine, complete with spotless bright white towels and sheets. Views from the rooms facing down the mountain are...

“Slept a dorm for a night and a double for four during my stay. Both had comfy beds, plenty of space for kit and a compact but perfect ensuite bathroom in the double room.”

“The "Arve" room has amazing views down over the valley, but be warned you are above the bar/restaurant area, so if your group is noisy then you'll be last to bed!! :)”

“The dorms are relatively small (8-12 persons). A good choice for groups, less expensive than the double rooms.”
