The front desk clerk could not have been ruder .The room she gave me was on the back of this empty hotel when I went in the room it smelled horrible and itwas filthy. Even though I was exhausted from my trip and the room was prepaid there was no way I could stay in this place .

My son is in Richmond for work. The company reserved and paid for his room (with a roommate). We drove 2 hours for the man at the front desk to first say he didnt have my son booked into any room. Then tells him someone has checked into his room already and my son couldn't

I'm sorry your son had troubles checking in. It seems like your son's room mate arrived and checked in first, therefore your son's name was no longer on the arrivals list, which confused the front desk clerk. I hear not only your son is under 21, but arrived with no ID, which caused more confusion at check in. The following day, I received a email from the company asking me to take the charges off of your son's card and put the charges on the company card, along with a copy of your son's ID, but when I checked, your son's card was never charged. Bed bugs are not caused by dirt or filth. They are travelers. They travel within guests luggage from location to location. We have hundreds of travelers here weekly. Most travelers who are carrying bed bugs in their have no clue. With that being said, in some instances, the same one complaining about bed bugs are the same guests who brought them along. Any reported bed bug case we receive is inspected, treated and reinspected before other guests occupy the room. I cannot guarantee the room will be bug-free because I'm not sure what the previous guest(s) left behind until it's reported to the hotel.
