want to extend my sincere gratitude to the bartender, restaurant chef, and front desk staff for their outstanding service during my stay. This is my second consecutive weekend staying here, and the reason for my return is the exceptional hospitality and service I received. The bartender’s attentiveness, Steve, was an enjoyable and personalized experience when I ordered my food. The entire team’s dedication to excellence made my stay remarkable. I also highly recommend dining within the hotel, as the exquisite flavors and quality of the food are on par with or even better than outside options, all at a comparable price. A fantastic choice for both convenience and taste!

I travel a lot, but rarely feel compelled to post a review. Sadly, it’s because of the overall mediocrity of experience to be found these days. No point in highlighting the obvious.

My recent 3 day stay at this hotel to visit family in Midlothian is a rare exception to my usual experience. From the moment my son and I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and friendly greeting we received from Margaret C at the front desk. As we were checking in, she immediately recognized my membership status in the Bonvoy program and thanked me for choosing them for my stay.

The facility is very well kept up, and the room was very clean and comfortable. This appears to be an older facility, but it was every bit as nice as any of the newer hotels I’ve stayed in recently. When I remarked on this to the staff, I was told that Lloyd and his team take great pride in maintaining the place for the guests. (I assume Lloyd is the facility manager or the hotel manager)

When I got to the room and unpacked, I realized I had inadvertently forgotten a power wire to the charging brick for my laptop. I went downstairs to the front desk and asked if by any chance they might have one in the “lost &found”. To my surprise and delight, a gentleman behind the counter said he’d go check & when he emerged from the back with the exact cord I needed, I couldn’t have been more relieved. When I returned the cord at the end of my stay, I found out from one of the employees that he was a regional manager named Vince. Impressive.

I could go on and on about the great experience we had at this hotel - Margaret C was one of the best representatives any establishment could ask for - absolutely first rate. If you are planning to stay in the area, definitely check this place out. You won’t regret it.

For myself, I will definitely be staying there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property.
This trip was purely rest and relaxation.
The first thing I noticed when I pulled up was the abundance of parking spaces.
When I walked thru the door the manager on duty greeted me like I was the King of Siam.
While checking in he noticed my requests and immediately fulfilled those requests.
When I opened the door to my Suite it was like walking into a villa.
The room was beautiful and everything clean and fresh yes you could smell the sweet smell of the fabric softener used on the clean and recently replace comforter.
I the bed was like sleeping on a cloud.
The next morning went to breakfast which was included in the reservation and had one of the best sit down breakfast I’ve had since the COVID-19 Pandemic began.
The young man serving made sure I had anything I wanted before I even asked
Checking out was even better than checking in.
The young lady at the desk asked if she could send someone to the room to make sure I had not forgotten anything. That was the first time anyone has asked that
PS: I do forget a lot lol.
Overal my experience was very exhilarating and I will visit this property again when in the Richmond area.

We enjoyed our stay at this Sheraton despite a lot of bad reviews. I did request a renovated room and it was a nice quiet room with a lake view. The only issues were safe that didn’t work & the hot & cold water in the bathroom sink were reversed so at first I thought there was no hot water. The beds are comfortable & cozy with lots of good pillows.
It had a nightlight in the bathroom & the fan for the thermostat could be set to run continuously so to block out noise. The room had a small refrigerator & a microwave. The lighting was good. They don’t provide cleaning unless your stay is over two days. They do have a breakfast buffet & a restaurant that is open for dinner. The front desk & all the staff were friendly. It is in a convenient location if you want to be in the Midlothian area

Good stay, nice staff, needs renovation.

PROS: Quick easy check in, front desk staff was polite with me, but was not as nice with someone else checking in. That other customer did not have identification, but staff member could have been nicer, in my opinion. Room was clean, shower had a nice strong water - which I loved. Bar area was clean, bartender was very nice, drinks are way overpriced though.

CONS: Whole hotel could use a refresh. Our group used the conference room for a meeting, it was tucked behind the front desk, small and cramped space. Room had old furniture - office chair felt like the frame was pushing into your legs (which hurt), rugs were vacuumed but still looked dirty, bed was not as comfy, strong shower head resulted in wet floors even with the shower door completely shut. The WIFI was not working, had to get override code from the front desk to get in.

Overall, I would probably stay elsewhere if I were to come back to the area. Would not completely rule out a return.

Since our daughter decided to go to University of Richmond, we have been frequent visitors at this hotel. Each time we visit we are reminded about how top-notch the people, the cleanliness, the facility and staff are to their guest. Mark Cahal at the front desk greeted us each evening with a smile, some conversation, and some water bottles to take to our room.

Jashon was our waiter each morning for breakfast and was a joy to see his smiles as we approached the restaurant. Although, they don’t have the hot and cold buffet anymore which was always a treat. They still have a cook to order breakfast that is prepared very carefully. The eggs and bacon were absolutely the best each morning and the fresh fruit was not out of a can.
They have recently upgraded their video and TV selection and made it much easier to navigate and more relevant.

They were just opening the hotel after the virus shut down when we arrived. The staff was well trained and all of the cleaning and social distancing is being practiced. We will continue to go back to the location because the people there care and make their guests feel like they are staying at the Ritz Carlton.

The hotel looks fine from the outside. The room had a problem in the bathroom and there was water everywhere when we flushed it. The handle of the toilet was broken, the remote in the bedroom did not work…. I called the receptionist whose name was Candy and the woman had a nasty NASTY attitude. She should not be working in a hotel or anywhere where there is public. The only reason why my review is a 2 star is because the maintenance guy was better than the manager who did absolutely nothing to try to solve the various issues.

The best part about this place, by far, is the staff! Yolanda at the front desk was my son's favorite person in the world, but everyone was just the very best from the time we got there. We stayed to visit family, so we were at this hotel for 5 nights. That is a long time to be someplace and, overall, this was really great. It was very clean in the common areas and the room, they brought us extra towels and emptied garbage upon request (since we were staying so long, it was needed). Everything was updated. The pool boiler was broken, which meant it was really too cold for our 5 year old, but they let us swim at the other Four Points and that was really nice for our son. It was a good solution for the situation and I really appreciate the staff helping us! When warmer, the pool looks like a fun place to be. I appreciate how clean all areas of the hotel were and, while still in a pandemic with an unvaccinated child, that was really really reassuring. The area was perfect for us, because it was near family. It is driving distance to the mall and some places to eat and close to the highway. It is not in an awesome neighborhood with a lot to walk to (besides the local Applebee's), so be aware of where you want to stay, but it is very accessible to the rest of Richmond by car. We knew that going into our stay and were ok with it. Parking was easy. Overall, this was a great stay and we would 100% come back again when we visit Richmond. I would recommend this to anyone!

The staff here is fantastic. All were super-responsive. There was a sports tournament here and some of the kids were hanging out in the hallways and the staff not only came up here right away after I called the front desk, but contacted their parents to make sure it didn't happen again. The only concern I had is that when I misplaced my key and asked for another at the front desk they didn't ask me for any kind of ID or verification that I was who I said I was and just gave me the key for the room I requested. Hotel is on the older side and A/C can be a little noisy, but overall we were happy with our stay.

The entire hotel is very old, worn and unkept. From the grounds, lobby and room, not just old and worn but clearly not maintained. Room 407 had peeling wall paper, chipped and scratched furniture, moldy air conditioner. The microwave was from the 90's. The thermostat did not work. The bathroom, just a shower was more recent. I was not told it was just a shower, I would have asked for a different room. The room had a stale and moldy smell. I had to use my trusty lavender spray. This may have been a 3 Star hotel 25 years. I read a response from the hotel to such comments that upgrades were done in April, maybe April in 2025. I am a platinum elite life member, my profile from day 1, states foam pillows only as allergic. But I had all feather pillows in my room. I had them replaced but too late, was sneezing and scratching all night. Do not recommend this hotel.
