Very nice hotel. Looks to be new or recently renovated. Very clean. Super friendly front desk staff. Complimentary water bottles in the lobby. Nicely appointed room and comfortable bed. Big plus is lots of towel hooks in the room which is unusual. Very close walking distance to shops and restaurants.
Parking is an additional charge of $25 per day, but when we were there, there was free street parking in front of the hotel (which the front desk staff informed us of, although the streets were quite deserted at night around the hotel). The shower worked well, but it was slightly difficult to operate and difficult to fully shut off with a bit of a leak. The indoor pool looked nice, but currently unavailable due to repairs.
Overall, very happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

I came for a convention access the street (hotel is perfectly situated)
As a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member I was treated like a royal my entire stay. I am blown away by how hardworking and personable the employees at this hotel are . Great service is hard to find these days , likely because they are all working at the Marriott Richmond .
The M lounge was my home away from home - Anna made sure I had everything I needed — what an asset she is to the Marriott corporation . She truly made my morning with her smile and willingness to help.
Ladonna was equally as helpful at night.
The hotel was clean, rooms seemed a few feet smaller than usual Marriotts but it was updated with strong wifi.
Food was standard but the Starbucks was a bonus . We did not receive housekeeping service daily but we did get fresh towels and trash removal .
Valet parking is $28 and one block down self park is $18
I used both and found it easy.
If you are not a Bonvoy member consider joining and getting the credit card - it is worth the price of admission to the M club — especially at the Richmond location
Five star treatment all the way. Thank you for making this stay enjoyable .

Overrated and overpriced!!! I don’t know where to begin!! We spent four nights and
got a suite so there was plenty of room but it was not comfortable. Everything felt sticky and not clean. The bathroom was not great either. The first morning there was only hot water so it was burning to shower in! And there was hardly any water coming out of the shower head. In general the hotel was worn down.
The gym ran out of bottled water and when asking the entire hotel had run out of bottled water. This went on for a few days. Don’t understand why no one was tasked with buying additional water.
On the positive side the restaurant was a pleasure. Good food and very friendly staff.
Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel. The rate is over priced compared to what you get - and breakfast is not even included.

Our family recently stayed here while my husband attended a conference. The hotel was clean and offered welcomed amenities in the room such as a microwave, refrigerator and a very nice hair dryer (something rarely found in hotels!). The staff was exceptional. Everyone from the front desk, to the valet (Garry), to the wait staff in the restaurant treated us like royalty. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and a welcome find since we didn’t feel like walking to local spots on occasion. Our room was cleaned with precision each day and restocked with water bottles and coffee service. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in Richmond in the future!

A pretty decent hotel. Great beds (soft, wonderful comforters and pillows) and the shower pressure is strong. They offer free coffee in the morning and the staff was competent. Two things to note thought. The shower floor is slippery. They should provide a bath mat. Second is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the halls and other rooms. Ear plugs resolve this problem. Parking is easy and the HVAC worked well. Elevators were efficient.

This hotel was the hotel of choice by a bride accommodating out of town guests. The sales director Amanda was very helpful. The front desk staff exceptional. Noono (sp?) Was kind enough to do a small favor for me after I arrived exhausted from a 10 hour travel. Annie, who told me she's worked there for over 33 years is the personification of Southern Hospitality-what a doll! I ate at the restaurant and Vena was as accommodating as a server could possibly be. I had the chicken quesadillas which were '10'! Ronnie the bartender fixed my special concoction of a drink perfectly and he's a perfect, entertaining guy. The room was impeccable, offering a microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, safe and Very comfortable bed and pillows. They have covered garage parking for $15/day but I chose to park on the street for free as it was the weekend. The service all around at the hotel was superior from all staff members. I used to live in Richmond and have stayed at several of the area hotels downtown. I will stay here again next time I travel. I recommend!

We stayed here for one night just to rest before continuing on our trip the next day. There isn’t much to do within walking distance of this hotel. The streets were quite empty, but we did take a drive around the museum area and it was busy there. I would not recommend getting gas around Richmond at night. We traveled as a party of 3 women and felt a bit unsafe at one of the gas stations we visited, so we left for another one, which was also creepy, but at least the man behind the counter was coherent.
The hotel has a parking garage attached to it. There is a parking fee you pay at the end of your stay. There was a booth and gate at the entrance, but it was unstaffed and the gate was open the entire time we stayed. Be sure to hide your valuables and don’t park in a secluded spot. The hotel staff were polite at the front desk. Our room was decent. We used the coffee machine to boil hot water, but there were remnants of soap and coffee. We ended up needing to boil a couple of times before it was clean. I heard that the coffee in the basket is not free. The beds were too soft for us (our backs hurt the next day). The bathroom was clean. We had a faulty fridge that did not work, but when we called the front desk, they sent someone up and replaced it (although the new fridge was much smaller). We brought our dog with us and it was unproblematic. They have a restaurant, but food is not complimentary, so we skipped it. We also got some sneaky fees at this hotel compared to the other hotels we stayed at since it is in the city. Next time, we will stay at another Marriot off of 95.

Hi Pandokie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry about your experience during your stay. We were under renovation with our parking gates during that time. This has been completed and now the gates are back in operation. I will forward your comments over the the appropriate departments so that we can better assist our customers in the future. The coffee in the room is part of your room and no extra charge for it. We hope the next time you are in town you will give us another try.

Even though I did not give this hotel a perfect rating, I would certainly stay here again if in Richmond. The hotel was super easy to access from the interstate and in a very walkable distance to several downtown attractions - most notably the capital which is gorgeous. The room was definitely clean and beds very comfortable. I utilized the gym, which was thankfully stocked with plenty of water, and the pool/jacuzzi. While there is a parking fee, it was a monitored garage attached to the hotel. I felt very comfortable leaving my car in the garage and easily got it in and out at my convenience.
The housekeeping staff was superb. While we did not have our room cleaned/serviced during our two night stay, the staff was very attentive to any requests. We asked for additional towels, coffee/tea and mouthwash. All were accommodated without question. What they did not have on their carts, they got very promptly. There also was never a wait more than a couple minutes for an elevator. We also appreciated the nice toiletries and refrigerator in the room.
The negatives were the state of the pool area. While the pool was really nice in size and temperature, several repairs were needed including leaky spots in the ceiling. There was also a lighting issue, where the bulbs were flickering like strobe lights. The jacuzzi/hot tub was very nice in temperature also; however, the jets were very light. Also, we asked the front desk for directions on two occasions and were never given clear or correct information. This was really frustrating when 1) you are from out of town and have no idea where to go AND 2) it is very very hot outside and walking out of the way is maddening. I actually felt dismissed by the front desk on one occasion, like I was bothering her for asking a question. We were also surprised at the lack of food options within the hotel, particularly the lack of room service or any restaurant open at lunchtime. We did end up using Door Dash and it was phenomenal. The lunch we ordered from a nearby pizza place got there SO quickly. As a side note, I highly recommend driving to the Boathouse at Rocket's Landing for dinner - it was so yummy and a gorgeous area.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown. The room was very comfortable - the bed especially comfortable. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a free shuttle that services guests within a 2 mile area - Mr. O was extremely pleasant and helpful!

I have only had one issue and have stayed here over half a dozen times. The one issue was that the heating did not work in the room, so they actually upgraded me to a nicer room!
