We went as a family with our 2 grown up children. From the outset the staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely room with glorious views across to Corsica. The beach and coves were the perfect place to relax and the food in the restaurants was superb. It was a very special holiday , and we certainly hope to return again soon.
We (family of four) spent nine wonderful days at Valle dell’Erica. The place is beautiful, the staff extremely friendly, the food delicious (there are several different restaurants in the hotel and all of them offer excellent food with different level of service and price). For us it was the second holidays at Valle dell’Erica (first time was in 2017) and we look forward to going back again!
This resort is tucked away from the world with a huge site in lush green surroundings. There’s so much outdoor space, pool areas and beaches that you can feel as though we aren’t in the 2020 pandemic. Having said that the entire resort has every safety measure in place. Best to take in the sunrise then hit the beach after the amazing buffet breakfast. The pool bar food so good, chef making fresh pasta vongole as you dine by the pool. Let’s face it, Italians do food and well. Can’t wait to return having sunbathed, slept, forgot the real world for a few days of peace and serenity.
We went to Valle dell'Erica with my son and his family, and it turned out to be the holiday of a lifetime. The resort itself is stunningly beautiful, with numerous small coves and beaches that were perfect for my 4-year old granddaughter. Smooth golden sand and very calm and warm crystal clear water, and never any sense of being crowded. The food was delicious, with a huge choice and variety of dishes for breakfast and dinner. This was definitely the most luxurious holiday we'd ever had. But it could have been one of the most difficult, as my husband has Alzheimers and can barely walk. It was the management and staff that made everything go so smoothly for us. We had booked a room, but were upgraded to a suite so that we could be near my son. Because of the landscaping at the resort, this beautifully designed and furnished little haven was beautifully private, but close enough to my son for my granddaughter to be able to visit us on her own. And it was kept spotless by the daily cleaners. The resort provided my husband with a wheelchair, without any charge, and this and the wonderful shuttle service meant that we could easily get to our favourite beach Spiaggia Li Caracoli, where sun loungers were reserved for us. The little cafe next door was hidden from view of the beach but had its own spectacular view. The staff there, like everywhere in the resort, were friendly and helpful, and often carried drinks to the beach for us. After our siesta in the afternoon, we often all met up at the 2 pools, one for the adults and one for the children, often almost empty and deliciously warm. The Captain Nemo bar catered for any snacks or drinks we required. And the bar staff who sold us bottles of Prosecco also provided us with delicious nibbles. We spent most evenings at the Nautilus restaurant buffet, included in the half board price, where the staff did their best to provide smooth soups that my husband could manage, but were very understanding when he couldn't manage even those. I went alone to the special Sardinian meal where I was treated like royalty, given a table for 2 next to the open vista onto the sunset. My one regret was that I didn't ask anyone their names, but I would like to say a special thankyou to the wine waiter at the Nautilus who was always so kind and helpful to me, my husband, and my family. Also to the young men at the beach and pool who made sure we had any help we needed. An added bonus for me was that I had been learning Italian for some years, and was delighted to find that not only was I understood, but people replied in Italian and were happy to engage in my often slow and hesitant conversations! Grazie Mille a tutti!…
We booked very last minute with our family with three small children have cancelled a trip to Croatia due to quarantine. The resort is remote which worked for us, lots of beaches and pools to discover. Absolutely beautiful setting. It’s a hotel that is kid friendly rather than an overtly kid focused hotel. We stayed on the Erica side which seemed better for children, ate in the other side of the resort one night which seemed a bit more upmarket and had a higher quality buffet. Kids club is very flexible and free for over 4s, with trips to the pool, beach and other activities. Babysitting was very expensive Great selection at breakfast and good dinner options Our only gripe was that restaurants opened at 7.30/7.45 which was late for our kids - I know Italians tend to eat later but would have appreciated an option for an earlier snack tea for the kids some nights Overall would recommend …
