If you have a car (can rent for a reasonable price), you will be fine. To spend day after day on an overcrowded beach and watch the industrial-scale 'feeding' of crowds is something you enjoy, than you do not need a car. Food is unremarkable, boring, but it is hard to imagine it could be anything else on this scale. The pasta dishes were always enjoyable. That being said, I think it is well priced, staff are great, the view is amazing, the next-door coffee shop serves great coffee, and if you are smart, and rented a car, you will have a really enjoyable holiday. Loved visiting the surrounding towns, villages. Loved the landscape and hard to find beaches.
I spent 7days holiday in this resort and ...deffinitelly not enough 🙂 accomodation ***, rest ****. Room cleaning every day. All inclusive - very satisfied, you can really get here everything! No one stays hungry and everything taste perfect! My dayghter loved train going around the resort. There is possibility of many activities with or without kids, tennis, fotball, joga, animations on beach, exercises. Small swimming pool for kids, nice beach with sand and nice see, can dive and see fishes. It is close to Santa Teresa Port, can take a ferry 1h to visit Corsica. The only what I miss there was more days to stay. Thanks very much, we enjoyed all family.
To caveat this holiday was so inexpensive... the flights, transfers, hotel an food were all included at a ridiculous low price... it was easy.... so I will make a bad an follow it with a good point !! 1) Barely any mobile signal anywhere in the hotel village. WiFi limited to reception only- but you are only holiday take a break ;) 2) rooms: no air conditioning, and no fans- rooms were like ovens. Our room did not have a sea view and when walking around a lot of rooms wouldn’t. We were also right by the train stop/ road and the maids/serving team bedroom so lots of noise constantly. From the train passing every 10 mins an people getting off to the staff relaxing after a shift an making noise! However we tried not to spend any time in the rooms and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The maids also cleaned our rooms everyday with fresh towels and wash products were supplied!!! 3) excursions- the zodiac boat tour with snorkeling was amazing! A lot of the other activities filled up an considering how many people stay at the hotel the places were extremely limited and quite expensive. We took a bus to a near by town and enjoyed a relax and restaurant food! 4) food- whilst the restaurant was rammed with people- I mean constantly busy for the whole time... we struggled to get seats and tried a range of times within the timeslots. However the food was pretty great, with fresh fruit and veg and lots of healthy options- couldn’t fault it. Just don’t bother with the desserts stick to fruit ;) 5) bar - not enough staff to serve we were constantly waiting more than 10 minutes for a drink from coffee to a beer. I don’t have a good point here... it made it difficult to access the “free drink” and there is barely any nibbles during the day outside of restaurant hours. Stock up on fruit or bread from the restaurant an keep in your room if your kids need food!!! 6) Friday... is their check out / check in day... an let’s be honest it’s a disaster zone. The bar was a mess most of the day... glasses on every table (as if no staff) you have to check out at 10am even if your transfer is not until 8:30pm. So imagine around 300 people all trying to check out at the same time.... haha an no air con in reception.... joyful. An also everyone arriving so the hotel is even busier if that’s possible. Only good point the entertainers have the day off so it’s a little quieter pool side ;) 7)location - honestly can’t complain, it’s beautiful and relaxed and easy. Really this I think compensated for all of the above it was so cheap we really loved it. These are more watch outs... don’t expect crazy amazing when you pay pennies plus all the staff are adorable (although no English- polish up on your french an Italian!) just go... take a breath and enjoy :)…
The resort offers accommodation for huge amount of people but the place is big not crowded. Rooms are moderate but clean and meet the 3* expectations. 3 restaurants serves excellent food. All inclusive card system feels odd but also a way how to manage differences in all inclusive programs. Free sunbeds and umbrellas on a beach are great bonus but place reserved for them is small in comparison of visitor. It is cramped. We have been told the sunbed reservation is not allowed and beach lifeguards remove the staff from sunbeds when nobody there in the morning. It is not true. They are willing to reverse sunbed for you :). So the most of sunbeds was already reserved at 9.00 in the morning, people came around 10 to 11 am. But one can still find a free sunbed. As the most of visitors are Italians, beach is also very loud. See - absolutely amazing. There are 3 swimming pools (1 for children, 2 for adults) - no comment here from me, I did not spend a minute there :), was just passing by. There is no where to go in the evening, no place for long strolls but you can walk around the resort instead of using a small train which operates around almost whole day. Everyone can enjoy or not the fun offered by Hotel Animation team. I recommend this resort to all who does not need luxury accommodation, looking for relax and fun. With or without children. A…
Marmorata is a fairly huge hotel complex but still pretty well managed. The breakfasts, lunches and dinners can get a bit crowded and noisy, yet the hotel makes up for that with great meals. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and cleaned everyday. The only downside is that usually they do not have any windows and the only window is the entrance, so you are unable to make a draft and get the air moving. The beach is really beautiful with gradual entrance into the sea. The hotel provides for their guests deck chairs, umbrellas and also small kayaks (1 or 2 person versions) and small sailboats. The only inconvenience during our visit was the weather, although you can hardly blame a hotel for that; so my only recommendations for you is to go no later than the last week of August.
