A horrible experience. The jacuzzi worked noisily on it own without anyone starting it. The wifi worked in bouts of minutes. Mostly it didn't. The person at the reception in the evening was rude and every complaint was answered with "We never had this problem before. It maybe your fault." The "full" breakfast consisted of bread and bacon. Too much...

Dear Dan, Thank you for your review. I am very surprised to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us as you remained with us for 2 more nights after you posted your review. I was also unaware that you were unhappy with your breakfast. During your stay, we served eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs,...

If you are willing to go back in time and accept limited room amenities and square footage, the Mary Prentiss Inn very convenient to Harvard and all the other attractions of Cambridge and can be delightful. Breakfast and afternoon tea are free, plus various edibles, including fruits and candies, are strewn around the ground floor, so you can get by...

My husband and I and our 16 year old daughter stayed here three nights. The staff was lovely, helpful and great to work with. Our breakfast in the morning was top rate, a great way to start the day. The room was wonderful, with all the amenities you would need. The inn itself was beautiful, I imagine the outdoor patio...

The Mary Prentiss Inn is a lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of Cambridge. We've stayed here several times, and will be returning at the end of the month in order to visit our son at Northeastern University. It is ten minutes away and situated on a peaceful street with off-the-street parking. The rooms are well-appointed, the breakfasts hearty,...

The inn is quaint and comfortable with a great location in Cambridge. Walk to restaurants and a wine store on the corner. Will return again next year. There are some fantastic rooms and breakfast included

We stayed here for the 4th time and it is always very nice. Clean rooms and comfortable beds and a great breakfast. We enjoy the location since it's close to Harvard. It is also across the street from a wine shop which is convenient.

We returned to the Mary Prentiss at a time when (thankfully) a wider choice of rooms was available. We opted for room #9 in the old, original part of the house and enjoyed the creaky floors, historic decor, and lovely sitting area with fireplace. If you lean more towards modern amenities and large bathrooms, you might choose a room in...

We stayed at the Mary Prentiss over the Christmas weekend of 2016 to visit our daughter who stayed there when she first came to Cambridge and loved it. We also loved this gorgeous , well-kept mansion on a quiet street just off the very busy main street, Mass. Ave. It was especially beautiful when decorated for Christmas. Our room had...

Several members of our family have gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday over the last three years at the inn. We've always enjoyed great hospitality and delicious breakfasts. The rooms are charming and comfortable. We hope to return next year.

We stayed many times at the Mary Prentiss Inn - the location is awesome and super convenient, the building is old but very charming, and the breakfast is decent. However, staff is definitely not as friendly, as engaged and as caring as it used to be. The owners haven't been around and our late-night checking was a disaster (we had...
