We met the chef, Ushija from Croatia, while we were checking into the hotel. For dinner, he sent out the best tomato soup I've ever had. It was thick and had lovely flavor. He told us later that pureeing other vegetable into the soup was the secret. Next, he prepared wonderful dishes of salmon and trout. The plates were beautiful...

We didn't stay overnight, just visited to get a cup of coffee. The owner is very warm and friendly. We were offered free coffees and got our bottles refilled with drinking water. Thank you for your time and hospitality :)

To be very honest with you, I did not stay in this Guesthouse, I was in process of reserving the room via the website of the guesthouse. After I punched in my details and the dates and selected the cheaper room with shared bathroom (still expensive) I received an automated email that my reservation needs to be confirmed. Should take...

Our room was small but clean and comfortable. We shared bathroom facilities; access to the shared line of showers was through the crowded communal kitchen and less than optimal. As a hostel experience it would have been fine, but it was very pricey for what we got even given that it is located at the end of the road at...

We do absolutely NOT recommend the Breidavik Guesthouse. We had a small room with two single beds (no way place to put them together). The guest kitchen is very very dirty. Some of the pans are rusty. The hood is all greasy and looks like never been cleaned. The guest dining room was not cozy at all and the way...

What a great location, on the beach, fantastic views, nothing else around, Bit of a scary road to get there especially when the fog rolls in but if you want peace and quiet this is the place to go. Friendly hotel and a great breakfast.

We did not stay at the guesthouse but we had dinner at the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and the food was very tasty. The staff was extremely kind and helpful!!! We traveled with two young kids that are picky eaters. We could not find anything they would eat from the menu. The waiter consulted the chef and they...

This was my second time here, and I came back only because of the special location of this hotel. This is the nearest place to Latrabjarg, and it's so convenient if you want to visit the cliffs and see the puffins. Also, the location on the beach and the views are beautiful. But the hotel... the rooms are so timeworn,...

Enough is enough. In Iceland many hotel are in special places. That’s great but not enough for the price they ask us to pay. And here in Breidavik 280$ - 250 euros for a ugly room in a « container »…it’s such a shame !!! Yes, the situation is amazing. It’s the perfect location for birds lovers who want to...
