This hotel is in a cute little village near the mountains. It's old fashioned in its furnishings but very comfortable, and our room on the 2nd floor had a good amount of space, including a little desk area. The food in the restaurant was pretty pricey, so we stuck to appetizers for a smallish meal. The breakfast in the morning...

What a quirky hotel-- all the decor was like a "blast from the past" -- kind of refreshing considering how much ikea furniture I've seen at other hotels around!! Breakfast was standard but plentiful and something for everyone. Our room was clean (but outdated-- which is also part of the charm)

This hotel is three stars. The room was large and full of 1950's furniture and wallpaper. It was clean but so much so that the initial smell of bleach was overwhelming. There is no fridge in the room and no milk was supplied for the tea and coffee (but we asked for fresh milk and received some). Cold water is...

Delightful small hotel with 7 beautiful and inviting bedrooms with bathrooms. Being a small hotel it allows you to enjoy the friendly staff who can't do enough for you. You will enjoy Chef Einar's premises and the delicious meals he prepares. Our dinner was the best we had on our visit to Iceland. We would like to bring our family...

Stayed one night in a room on the ground floor. The setting was lovely - a little way from the ringroad nestled at the base of steep-sided hills at the end of a valley. Our room was warm, comfortable & quirky, but the furniture was quite old - kind of shabby-chic, but heavy on the shabby - the cupboard door...

We stayed at Country Hotel Anna as part of a tour across southern Iceland. Our guide, a former chef, was able to get us a room as there were just two of us on the tour and he was keen to stay there based on the reputation of the food. We felt a bit guilty bringing our muddy hiking clothes...

A lot of hardwork has been put in to this hotel. Every detail is just amazing. Real country touch to everything including the breakfast which had some local fish pickle and meat items. The rooms are comfortable with kettle and hair dryers. The food is little towards the expensive side. We didn't eat from here. This doesn't mean the food...

I reviewed this hotel in June 2012 (the date for travel given on the website does not go this far back) and I am very disappointed to note the favourable reviews following mine which have not taken in consideration that people say how lovely to see the horses and foals in nearby fields, which I also really liked, and then...

Country Hotel Anna is the perfect location for a stay during your travels along the south and south east coast of Iceland. The restaurant serves good, local food and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The furniture of the rooms reminds you of the old times. Charming.

We were stranded on the road by the hotel during a bad storm and our truck was flipped on its side by bad wind. The proprietor came to our rescue in the dangerous storm and brought us to safety. We were then served a delicious meat soup to warm us and ended up staying the night. The hospitality was excellent...
