We asked our travel agent to select a hotel close to Landmannalaugar so that we could do a day trip there. The hotel was pretty run down. A poster in the hotel saying it was 4-star (probably compared to the tents in Landmannalaugar). We would...More

This hotel was very remote. The rooms were tiny and it was difficult to move around once you put your luggage down. The bathroom contained a hot water tank which, once empty, does not replenish. There is no warning about that and it is less...More

This seasonal hotel is basic but the reason you might consider staying here should not be linked to the hotel facilities but as to where the hotel is. We were on a 4WD winter tour so staying here allowed us to see more of the...More

We stayed here for 2 nights as the second of 3 hotels on an organised tour. It was definitely the lowest standard of the 3 hotels, but it was fine. It is very remote, so we weren’t particularly concerned that the TV didn’t work, although...More

Hello, I am writing to inquire about the possibility of hosting a 5-10 Day Screenwriter's retreat at In Iceland for the students of Jacob Kreuger Studios in NYC we have some specific criteria, but would be interested in renting out your entire facility, so long as it can be met. -In order to avoid distractions we need there to be no other guests present during our stay. - We need approx 14 rooms for students and 4 for staff. We can get away with fewer rooms if they are big enough to share comfortably and still have a bit of privacy. - 2 teaching areas with white boards and seating for 14. - A good restaurant nearby that can deal w food issues and allergies. - Ideally little nooks where people can hang out w laptop and write. - Ideally pool or hot tub nearby. - Yoga area (can double as classroom area). - A magical feel. We want our students to feel like even if they spent the whole time writing in your hotel they still had a vacation. - Good heat. - And finally we're looking to keep the price as inexpensive as possible as bringing feeding and paying 3 teachers and an assistant for that much time is extremely expensive. Rustic is OK. Motel-y or ugly or corporate is not. Please let me know if you can accommodate us, and what the price point could be. If we're able to work something out, this could become an annual event. Also, some of the above criteria is negotiable. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Brenton
