Northern Lights will pick you up at KEF airport and the staff go out of their way to make your stay in Iceland a pleasant one. Don't be put off by the geothermal plant operating nearby because that is part of what you came to see... you are in a lava field and the nearby Blue Lagoon (10-15 minute walk)...

This lodge is very close to The Blue Lagoon. The rooms were exceptionally clean; probably one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed-in. The restaurant was superb, which was surprising given there were no real options close-by. The breakfast was above average, but not staffed nearly as well as the evening dinner. The geothermal plant is just adjacent to...

Dear Scott P, Thank you for taking the time to write about your stay with us at Northern Light Inn. We do really appreciate and value your comments. We should have been better prepared but we ran into some misfortune with the machines, our contractor etc. which I would not like to bother you with. The most important message is...

Well appointed, friendly staff and had excellent dinner. Much more peaceful than nearby Blue Lagoon. Be sure when you book that you ask for a room in the new section. It is brand new and well appointed. If you drive, it is about an hour from Reykjavik

The Northern Light Inn is a wonderful alternative to the pricier competition in the area. They will send a van when you arrive at the airport, take you to the Blue Lagoon, and pick you up. Their full Icelandic breakfast cannot be beaten. The rooms are tidy and clean. To me this is a five star hotel, but I know...

This place is very close to the Blue Lagoon, and the airport. They took care of our airport transport and transport to and from the Blue Lagoon, as well as arranged for horseback riding tour and geysirs and waterfalls tours for us. They were the only contact we needed for our stay in Iceland! Very accommodating! Rooms were very clean...

Great service and free pick up and drop off to airport, local area and Blue Lagoon. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. Free hot drinks all day in the reception area/lounge. Food was lovely but, evening menu was limited. Good choice at breakfast. In the middle of nowhere so you do need to use the hotel transport or hire a car. Would...

Stayed here on the first night of out Icelandic adventure. A wonderful hotel. Staff very welcoming. Restaurant excellent, reviewed separately. There is some construction work on the entrance but this did not disturb our stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Will probably return for some Northern Light viewing in the future!!

I was staggered to discover this massive geo thermal power station right next to the hotel, and I do mean right next to! It's like the elephant in the room that no one wants to mention. Putting this aside, the hotel is very average in every sense. The food was nondescript, but ok. It was a building site when we...

The only reason for staying here is that it's (very) handy for the Blue Lagoon and also quite close to the airport. When we stayed there was a "remodelling"of the car park & lobby areas. No doubt it will be ok when done, but frankly they should have closed the place while they did the work, rather than thinking it...
