Friendly staff, great location, comfortable bed, free parking, no problems with wifi, good rate, etc. The property was in excellent condition. It was close to several places to eat and just over a mile from Lincoln's old home. This is definitely the place to stay in Springfield, IL The only way to improve this is with a good hot breakfast...

Clean and spacious room for a good price. We were there on a Sunday night so not many eateries open. Not sure why the receptionist told us about the free shuttle service into town that the hotel operates - we were delighted to hear about it. Later on when we had every intention of using it, we were then informed...

First off, thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am so sorry that you were misinformed of our shuttle service, this is very embarrassing and has been addressed and very unfortunate that you had this disappointment. I hope that you give us another chance if you should return to Springfield.

Clean place for a nice price. Close to the Abraham Lincoln home and museum. Very good deal. I wish there were more restaurants nearby. We were there on a weekend, and it seemed like a lot of restaurants and attractions were closed on Sunday.

Great location if visiting the Lincoln Museum. Walking distance to many restaurants. Lobby and front desk personnel were great. Rooms were clean and very updated. Nice sheets and pillows. So impressed with the quality at a great price. Allowed us to stay parked at the hotel and we just walked to the Lincoln site.

We came to Springfield for one reason: to tour the Lincoln Museum and Presidential Library! This hotel is ideal for that purpose! You can stand in front of the Museum and actually see the hotel up the street! It is under a five minute walk They offer ample free parking in their lot around the hotel. They also provide a...

The check in was extremely quick and easy even though there were several people there and only one lady at the front desk. Everyone in the staff couldn't have been any nicer! The hotel is clean and comfortable and just a few short blocks from the historic sites! It was a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay again

My wife and I recently spent one evening at the Carpenter Street Hotel for a wedding the following day. The prices a reasonable, and the room/hotel were clean and well maintained.
