The house itself is a cosy place, with lots to see and find. You feel at home, with a lovely couple running the place. They serve very local and good food. You really feel the Icelandic hospitality. I stayed in the annex and this room was large enough. The bed is a normal double bed; if you are sharing the...

We were staying at one of the nearby summer houses and had been recommended to go to Ensku Husin for a meal. We stopped by in the late afternoon to see if there were any openings and were accommodated for that evening. The owner told us the rich history of the house and how he had worked on restoring it....

If you want to experience the Snæfellsnes peninsula and especially if you want to catch the northern lights this is where you want to be. Beautiful quaint, old farmhouse converted into B&B and family run by a delightful, friendly and helpful young couple. You can't go wrong whit this place!

A very nice setting right at the river side. Walks from the hotel possible. Run by a very friendly couple. Rooms are clean, beds however are very narrow, only approx. 90 cm width, so corpulent people might be less comfortable. We dined there too, farm produced food, not fancy but tasty with homemade bread. Would definitely stay there again

I spend the night at Ensku Husin with my parents during a 10 days trip along the south coast and the Snaefellsnes peninsula. Wonderful welcome there by the owners Anna Dröfn and Hjörleifur. Very friendly and talkative, they told us the story of this famous house. the house herself is an ancient fishing lodge converted in a really cozy guesthouse....

OK. So Iceland is expensive. That said I don't really get this place. Very isolated and the weather was very bad but all the same, I am not convinced. We booked for two nights. On arrival, we were asked if we wanted dinner, we said yes to 'lamb soup'. This was billed as dinner. Turned out to be basic lamb...

Just the best place to stay! We were three friends on our roadtrip and stayed here only for a night. The place was so calm, warm, welcoming, cute and just perfect. We will definately stay there next time also. Do not miss this and ask for upstairs rooms ❤️

My son and I spent 2 nights at Ensku Husin Guesthouse after leaving Reykjavik. This place oozes with Icelandic charm, and was a wonderful place to come "home" to after being out in the rain and wind all day. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms in the main lodge. It was very small but cozy. Kind of like...

We cannot reconcile other reviewers description with our experience. Maybe the owners were away. The place seemed to be run by young girls. Our room was one of the outside rooms and basic which is ok. But how much effort is it to iron bedding and fasten the buttons on the duvet ? The towels were old and frayed. But...

A bit difficult to find in the dark but worth it. This a wonderful place that oozes atmosphere and gives the impression of being isolated in a remote windswept wilderness (but is really just 20 minutes outside of town). We stayed in one of the newly renovated outside rooms and this was the most enjoyable place we lodged in Iceland....
