A very quaint and surprisingly lovely spot. We arrived in the evening so didn't see the gorgeous surrounding until morning. We were greeted by friendly staff and directed to the dining room as it was late and we were starving. I ended up having the burger which was delicious. Apparently the meat was from the working farm where the hotel is...

We did the southern tourist trail last year so this place was our first night on a road trip heading north. Room in the main building was warm and comfortable. Bit too much furniture so it felt smaller that was (guys lose some chairs or the sofa and create some space). Whole site lit up like a Christmas tree all...

We stayed two nights here and used it as our base of operations for exploring Snæfellsnes and Borgarnes. Despite being on a farm, the accommodations were very modern and comfortable. Our room had plenty of space for two adults and two children (the couch was a sleeper). We had breakfast two mornings and everything was delicious, as well as an...

This was a cute farm hotel with cows, pigs, dogs and all. Our room was a little on the small side but it was clean and comfortable. They had a jacuzzi on the property which we didn't have an opportunity to try. The restaurant was surprisingly excellent, and they try to source what they can from their farm. Beautiful countryside...

This was the first hotel we stayed in on our first trip to Iceland. We knew we were taking some risk in choosing one well away from Reykjavik and at first sight we were a little anxious. It does not look prepossessing from the outside and when we first arrived there was nobody about to welcome us. It is true...

Was greeted by two labs, the yellow lab, Isabella, carried rocks in her mouth. The next morning she had left three rocks at our door. There were pigs, goats and beautiful baby cows! We had a very nice room with coffee and tea. A nice bathroom with two shower heads. The two dinners we enjoyed were very good. Friday night...

We stayed in one of the small houses. Me and my two kids. It was very cozy and friendly. My kids loved the animals and they made it even friendlier. One night while having dinner we looked out the window to find a piglet on our deck. The kids had a look at the kittens and the two dogs that...
