We have stayed in the domain on a special price package. Our room was very clean, but needed small refurbishment. We have been told later, that the whole Chateau is undergoing modernization. Our package included as well 2hrs spa and a 3 course dinner which we enjoyed very much. Overall very good stay, but at the moment of refurbishment we...

We visited Chateau de Pizay as it was recommended by friends and we wanted to be in the heart of the Beaujolais wine region. There are rooms in either the modern section (we did not see these) and the older, more classic section where we chose to stay. The room was spacious and we had our own patio but we...

The appearance of the Chateau as you approach is very imposing. Checking in was smooth and the receptionist was very helpful with excellent english. Parking was well explained and we found a space within easy walking distance of our room which was a duplex suite in the grounds of the Chateau. The appearance of the room was good with a...

We had a beautiful "duplex" room ,the reception staff were very helpful, and managed to get us a table in the restaurant despite our late arrival. The hotel is renovated stylishly everywhere except for the breakfast room which resembled the cafe in a modern local authority swimming pool- where they refused to serve the omelettes etc which were available to...

At booking we did not realize enough that this was a relais de silence. After a long drive kids longed for a swim. After two remarks of visitors that they should not splash not jump we left disappointed. At diner it mentioned a steak for either 2 or 4 people (1 course) at 120. This was per person and not...

We had such an amazing / relaxing weekend! The spa and service was great. Highly recommend the massages, a time well spent. We loved the morning buffet and evening apero. Definately take a bike and tour the stunning vinyards near by! The restaurant is a little lacking in luminosity. There was a wedding during our stay so we had the...

After driving all day, coming down from London, the meal offered at the restaurant was truly worth the journey. It was Lyonnaise food at its very best. There were three set menus on offer. We chose the €80 menu which resulted in a series of different courses of absolutely tantalisingly delicious French cuisine.

This was our third stay in this wonderful place. It lays very quiet in the vineyards, has a beautiful topiary garden and view . The staff is friendly and it has a fine restaurant and menu and of course a great selection of wines.

Excellent location and good service. However, the menu is €65 - this price only includes a fish OR meat course and does not include a cheese course. The latter is €15 per person for a very modest cheeseboard and they do not make it clear unless you read the menu carefully that this is extra. The chateau's own wine is...

We have been staying at this hotel on our way to and from the south of France on various occasions since 1989 ! In the beginning the charm of the charm of the place was enhanced by animals and birds in the grounds, peacocks strutted around and hens and ducks roamed free. The whole ambiance was of a lovely Beaujolais...
