Pretty much totally picked this place based on TA reviews. Stayed with another couple and they came up with same choice. Not disappointed as TA reviewers came thru for us again. Basic simple hotel with basic no frill rooms. Overall a very good value. Located right on the river basin, rooms 1-3 provide scenic views. Hotel has small bar, okay... More

This marvellous hotel will reward you with a stay that goes far beyond what one might expect from its 2 stars. The staff are friendly and the young man who assisted us at check-in was very helpful with enough English to explain all that needed to be explained, including the parking. He also doubled as a very competent waiter. The... More

Beautiful situation although it does not have adequate signage ie we struggled to find it! A lovely room with a view in both directions of the river and weir. The room was very beautifully decorated and although the shower room was small it was quite adequate. We found the choice at breakfast a little limited and unfortunately the coffee and... More

While the food gets only 4 stars, the staff and owner are so great and the setting right on the canal are superb. We recommend this restaurant...great salade nicoise! We were seated right on the canal and the kind owner went into the canal to retrieve my sunglasses that fell in, saying it happens often. A good experience, relaxing, central... More

An absolute gem of a place. Great location, ambiance, food and drink. 7 of us stayed here on a cycling trip to conquer Mont Ventoux and loved every minute. The owners are fantastic hosts. Will be back with the family

Just stayed here for two nights during off season. It's in a perfect location right on the main river around the centre of the town. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Our room faced the river with a small terrace and second large window. You can hear the water rushing at night. Parking was easy and there is a restaurant at... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on a break after my conference in Cannes and had a really nice time. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but the hotel was open. Corinne helped us arrange everything by phone prior to us even leaving Hong Kong and she was a real pleasure to deal with. We reached in the evening just before... More

This hotel was everything I hoped for in a small French town. Because we were on day 20 of a 25-day tour, I was getting tired, so the walk from the train station (5-6 blocks) seemed longer and hotter than usual, even though it was mid-October. But once we opened the door to our room, I was immediately rejuvenated. The... More

My daughter and I spent two nights at this charming very French hotel as part of our cycling tour. The location was wonderful: right on the river. Our room was facing the river so there was always something to see and the sound of the water falling over the dam softened any sounds from the town. The room was very... More

This very French hotel was wonderfully located with helpful staff and very good food for dinner. The only drawback was the street noise -- the price you pay for being in the center of things. We would return!

“Ask for a room overlooking the bassin (pond) rather than the street.”
  • View from the room of the little bridge across the river which is part of the hotel's restaurant
  • The view from the bathroom of the bassin itself.
  • A perfect retreat for two weary travelers.
