We visited Chateau Le Roque for the second time this September. I was worried that the fond memories we had of our first visit would be spoilt as can often happen on a second visit. Not so in this case. It was perfect. The host were attentive and charming. The food on all three nights was simple elegant and exceptionally...

Actually visited in September but really late in posting a review. An absolutely wonderful location in a beautifully restored chateau. The rooms and ambience were perfect as was the superb host and owner.

Great hosts, wonderful cuisine, idyllic setting. Would that I could go back in time and plan our trip differently! Only 2 nights here? what were we thinking? The Chateau is in a beautiful setting... an easy drive to many sites and villages in Provence. Extremely peaceful for relaxing in the afternoon. No A/C but the afternoon breezes and open window...

We managed only a day in Provence and would love to have stayed longer at Chateau la Roque. Set on a hillside with a beautiful rural view over the valley even with a satnav and lots of roadside assistance it proved difficult to find, but worthwhile. The building had been brought up to date by a lovely couple one of...

My husband, two teens and I stayed at Chateau la Roque last July. The surroundings are beautiful - the chateau sits at the highest point for miles and the view is unspoiled and lovely. Jean cooks dinner every night but one and it's a perfect combination of fresh and wonderful food, spectacular setting, and a room that's just a few...

Jeans cooking was great and the room was very comfortable. If you want to relax its a great place to go with sensational...

On arrival the entrance is unassuming and like the parking you aren't sure where it is. Once through the gate you are met by a stunning view across the valley from the wide terrace. We stayed in one of the two rooms - the rest are suites, and ours was the smallest and most affordable at 120 euros a night....

Everything is perfect, from nature to the hosts' warm welcome, the food, cooked by the chef (who's also the host) is gourmet, every little detail is planned to make the guests' stay as pleasant as possible. The blend between history and modern comfort is incredibly successful and the guests enjoy nature, the past and the present in one stride. We...

Me and my husband spent a couple of nights at chateau La Roque at the end of our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we loved the place, the chateau sits on top of a hill with the most beautiful views. Jean and Chantal took on this mammoth project a few years ago, and I think is still a bit...

This is a wonderful place to stay, nestled high in the hills with glorious views stretching to the valley. Ran by the charming Jean and Chantal, we were made to feel so very welcome in their paradise in Provence. We stayed in one of the suites which was beautifully appointed and finished to a very high standard. The breakfast was...

“Chateau La Roque can accommodate a family of 4 with 2 rooms (ventoux and jardins) linked by their own stairwell. Works great for older / independent kids (say 7 years old+). Our kids loved the small terrace and direct access to the yard. The upstairs room is large enough to take a crib as well.”
