We chose this hotel because our tour started from this hotel. I think it is expensive for what you get. The rooms are standard but the hotel seems to need remodeling. The food in the restaurant for breakfast was good but service eternally slow.

The Hotel Captain Cook is in a good location in downtown Anchorage and near the bike trail. The hotel is somewhat of an old-school, luxury hotel. I found our room to be very clean. On the downside, the furniture/hotel could use some updates and it is kind of pricey.

We were able to stay here for one night as the Clarion suites had no more room and booked us into the Captain Cook--boy, what an improvement!! Really 1st class hotel and room; really comfortable bed; and they even gave us $20 credit toward breakfast. The only complaint is when we went to the Crow's Nest restaurant they made my...

This Hotel had me at 'Hello'. From the moment you remove your waterproof pants and camouflage hat and step into a hot shower you will love it too. The Hotel is gigantic with three towers and lots of people starting or finishing cruises, but it still feels calm and personal. The Hotel is extremely proud of being a family run...

This hotel is actually very good. The customer service is great, as is the convenient location. The hotel is in close proximity to all the downtown attractions as well as the oceanfront. Free WiFi access is available. What one may be a little surprised by is that there is no free complimentary breakfast. Breakfast is available in the cafe, but...

We really enjoyed our stay here as part of a Princess land tour. The room was nice with comfy bed and more than enough room. No air & it was unseasonably warm but we got a nice breeze through the windows and slept great with the blackout curtains. Breakfast was very good both days and we ate at Fletcher's both...

Dear nandipandi, Thank you for staying at the Hotel Captain Cook during your Princess Cruise up to Alaska. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay here and got to experience our very weird warm weather! This is a really lovely hotel, helpful staff, well appointed but we were given a room that even in the middle of the afternoon was unacceptable due to noise from the lift. I dread to think what it might have been like trying to sleep. We were able to change rooms and during the discussion it was mentioned that we...
