I paid extra for the services offered by the CaptainCook Hotl. Stay somewhere cheaper; the service are NOT as promised. I reserved a stay of six days, January 7 thru January 13. It is January 11, I am writing this from our room. I accompanied my adult daughter on a business trip and have never been to Alaska before. After...

From airport to hotel for overnight stay before starting on my Alaskan adventure. Hotel room was very good on high level floor. No street noise. Very comfortable. Nice view up to the mountains. Easy walking distance to nearby eateries. Good In house restaurant and coffee shop, specialist clothing store and souvenirs. Only disappointment no buffet breakfast available.

Thanks to Ryan, Makenzie and Josh! 3 stars at the 5 star Captain Cook! Great service and welcoming smiles. The rooms are so welcoming and clean! This was the first hotel on our magical Alaska trip and what a great way to start.

I have lived in Anchorage, AK for over 18 years and not once did I stay at this hotel. My husband and I have decided that this will be our go to hotel for the New Years eve celebration that is held in the Town Square every year. From checking in to checking out of this hotel we were pleased...

Great location/centrally located....The staff is great .... the hotel has a great gym and a pool. The only downfall is that the rooms need some updating and the bed was not that great...however I will be staying here again because overall it was terrific.

My husband and I stayed here on our first night in Alaska on our Denali/cruise vacation. We had a corner room on an upper floor. The room was spacious, and well appointed, and had a gorgeous view. We ate a late supper and breakfast in hotel. Definitely have the reindeer sausage at breakfast. In addition we purchased snacks in the...

I only checked in after 6 PM and checked out by 5 AM so my experience was very limited. It has several restaurants and several nice shops on site. In other words, the hotel structure is self contained. This is especially nice in cold weather. They also had some cute christmas decorations and a ginger bread cookie village on display...

The hotel is nice, but seems dim and dingy. It could really use an LED light upgrade. The room was average, nothing above average for a hotel that is supposed to be the premier hotel in Anchorage. The lobby has nice shops and the Christmas decorations were top notch. Best Gingerbread village display you will ever see. Having stayed at...

The options in Anchorage are limited, and there are no 5 star hotels. We stayed at the Hotel Captain Cook for a couple of nights but also stayed in a 2 bedroom at the Embassy Suites one night in August. I'll list the pros and cons so you can decide what type of accommodation to choose. Our corner high -...

I love the Hotel Captain Cook. I stay there whenever travel takes me to Anchorage. It has great restaurants on site, but it is also walking distance to many other great places. Great views, great shops, lovely rooms.
