An absolute great stay. We were 2 couples and stayed in the ocean room and the bear room. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was fantastic. Great hosts. Lots of steps to get to the rooms, but well worth it.

We really enjoyed our time staying at Moose Gardens. Garnet got up bright and early each morning and made a gourmet breakfast that he puts much effort in to. He has several dishes each morning not just one dish. He also packed us a "to go" breakfast when we had an early train departure. Marya was kind enough to let...

The owners were friendly and yet gave you a chance for as much privacy as you wanted. The only suggestion I would have is that the B & B is quite far out of town, and it would be nice to know the best mode of transportation if you have not rented a car, e.g., that you can take a...

We spent the first, middle and last nights of an 11-day trip here. We felt at home at all times. The location was quiet. The beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were superb - and very filling (as consistently mentioned by past reviewers). The view of the Chugach Mountains was great. And Marya and Garnet have as many stories to tell...

Our hosts could not have been nicer. The breakfast will keep you going all day and the beds are comfy. The large log cabin is well insulated and most comfy. We arrived well after midnight and Marya stayed up and greeted us. Had to change rooms on the second night and Garnet moved all of our stuff for us. As...

We recently stayed two nights at Moose Gardens after a cruise and train ride to Anchorage. By the time we got there it was close to midnight and the owner was their to greet us and welcome us into their home. Instantly you felt as though you were visiting with friends or family! Breakfast was ready at 8:00 a.m. each...

If you are wanting to go to a bed and breakfast with food that is "out of this world", this one is for you. Every day the food was top notch, from stuffed French toast to salmon omelets to some of the most wonderful tasting fruit parfaits you could ever eat. Even the waffles were amazing and included six different...

We recently stayed four nights with Garnett and Marya, you could not ask for two of the most gracious host ever. The room was excellent, we had the Ocean room, wake up to a view of the mountains. Beautiful home, just sitting in the living room drinking coffee every morning looking out the great windows, was breathtaking. The breakfast every...

We stayed with Garnett and Marya four days the end of July 2014. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast - terrific! Garnett even packed breakfast for us when we fly to Brooks Falls and the morning we left early to catch a plane.

This review comes in a few months late but this place definitely deserves a praise. Garnett and Marya are the best hosts that you would come across. We visited Alaska during June-July 2014 and stayed at this place during the beginning and end of our trip. Both the times we stayed at the Bird Suite. Our plane from Seattle was...

“Lots of steps from the parking area into the home and then up to the second floor. They could use a sign as to where the guest entrance of the home actually is. It was the 3rd door we tried. Bear Suite was great location though and reasonably priced. King bed is a bit worn, but we slept very well. Loved the views and balcony. Wifi is only available if Mayra has her device turned on. It is not on at all times.”
