We stayed here for 2 separate nights at the beginning and end of our driving tour in Alaska. Our first stay was in a smaller room (Susitna) that was easy to find on late arrival. The second stay was in a bigger room (Room 14) in the rear building, with its own little outside terrace area. This place is a...

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed your visit. The great location is in the middle of the city, so there are those urban sounds, and this is exactly why we provide earplugs and fans in the guest rooms to mitigate it. I appreciate your kind words.

Copper Whale Inn is the perfect place to stay in Anchorage. We stayed for two nights at the start of our road trip and one night at the end. We were able to leave some things at the B & B whilst we were travelling which was very helpful. Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts. It was really good to have...

Excellent location close to main areas in Anchorage. Nice little cold breakfast in lovely eating area. Comfortable and charming -wish we could have stayed longer but its hard to get a room here if you wait too long!

We had a great experience at the Copper Whale Inn. Check-in and check-out were easy. Breakfast and wifi are included. Breakfast was much better than expected, and wifi was relatively reliable. There is also a desktop computer and printer for guests to use for free. There is no free parking, but the location is fantastic. It is just up the...

Thanks so much for your nice review! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. We actually have several rooms designated as economy rooms, due to their lack of view or size, so they are priced lower than our standard rooms. Also, our two rooms with shared bathrooms are lower-priced yet, and have beautiful Cook Inlet views.

It can be challenging to find a relatively affordable place to stay in Anchorage during mid-June, so I was happy to stumble upon this B&B to spend a few days sightseeing before a business conference. I had some trepidations about booking a room with a shared bath -- but no worries! There are both a 1/2 bath and a full...

Super location except for the noise. Stayed in room #10. There was no A/C, which is needed in Anchorage these days unfortunately. This would not be such a big problem except for the noisy location, so no open window. There is a train track near by and then there is the typical downtown street noise. When I saw the ear...

I'm sorry you did not sleep well. With our location come the sounds of the city, and that's why we have the earplugs available in every guest room. We would have been happy to try and move you to a different room if we would have been notified.

Great location just a few minutes from downtown Anchorage and within walking distance of the railway station. Rooms are very comfortable with free wifi. Spacious and light with some views over the sea. Staff are great and do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Good breakfast on proper china plates! We were greeted by very friendly hosts who helped us to our room, gave us 2 keys, and provided a simple, healthy cold breakfast. The room was clean and roomy enough for the one night stays. The hot water in the shower was a bit sketchy, but not missing.

We chose to stay at The Copper Whale because it was near the Tony Knowles Bike Trail and had a bike rental facility in front. Our room was comfortable, but it was the location that made it perfect. The daily breakfast was outstanding and the the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The bike path is a must if you...

Stayed here two nights. The room I was in (#9) was very small, had to go into bathroom sideways because door too narrow for shoulders. The mattress was comfortable but the bed creaked every time I moved at all. The view was decent down Cook Inlet. Weather was warm so had window open (no A/C) which was problematic given walking...

Everyone has an opinion, and we thank you for sharing yours. With our great downtown location come the realities of urban life. We have earplugs available in each guest room for just this reason. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We have many guests who stay in those upstairs room, with their beautiful Cook Inlet vista, who have complimented...
