The location of this hotel is GREAT! You are right downtown where all of the stores and shops are located. The rooms are very clean and modern and yet they have not lost the feel of their past history. Photographs line the hallways showing what things were like "back when." The continental breakfast was satisfying, and the staff friendly. Parking...

This was a ideal spot for the city center. Only problem is parking is away and extra cost. We were pleased with the room and breakfast was okay. Looked for the haunted but found no one there that night in June.

nice, clean, old small rooms, but who spends much time in the room in a place like this? It was plenty for just one of me. If I had bee there with a family it may have been tough. I had wanted a haunted room, but saw absolutely no activity, so was a little disappointed. Breakfast was fine, nothing special,...

If you read the Lonely Planet, this place is marketed as a boutique hotel. Not sure it quite lives up to that billing. The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and well located in the centre of town.

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice rooms, comfortable lobby, helpful staff, and convenient location. An added bonus is that the Alaska Railroad depot is just two blocks away. The price is roughly the same as those charged by the usual national chains.

We stayed in the Anchorage Hotel on July 4th, 2013. The room was huge! A nice plus after a week in an RV touring Alaska. The hotel is within easy walking distance to many restaurants and downtown activities. The breakfast is weak unless you like empty carbs. Overall we were very satisfied.

Great hotel. Best location in the city. At walking distance from main tourist points. Top helping staff. Excellent rooms (we stayed in two different rooms). Excellent breakfast. Family style-very helping at all times. Great beds and bathrooms. It is about time to put airconditions in rooms. The world gets wormer and there are few days in Alaska that require cooling...

Firstly, this hotel is not new and it is not a four star place but as long as you understand that, you will be happy staying there. My only complaint about the hotel was the train station which is just down the hill behind the hotel and the train drivers tend to like the sound of the trains horn in...

This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking to be able to park (it's in the middle of the city...so you have to pay to park) & just walk most everywhere. The management are most helpful & friendly, the breakfast is very nice & the hotel is upscale old....not 5 star new. We loved it! We would...

We spent 2 nights here at the beginning of June (2013) and found it a great place to start our vacation. The hotel is small but nicely updated. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, gave us directions to REI, recommended restaurants, etc. Comfortable beds too! The beautiful old bar is sadly not used as a bar anymore but is...
