This is a lovely historic hotel and therefore not super-modern and there were some foibles in the plumbing and electrics commensurate with its age. The room was very clean and an adequate size. There is a free breakfast included and free wi-fi which works with varying degrees of success. I stayed on 2 separate occasions before and after a trip...

I wish we had time to spend more time in the room because it was L shaped and had lots of space for spreading out, including a sitting area, a small kitchenette and places for our bags. Breakfast was adequate and we definitely would return to this hotel. We walked to a lot of sites from the hotel, even though...

We prefer to stay at some of the older character hotels when travelling and this did not disappoint. Fantastic location with a historic air to the lobby, bar (breakfast service only) and hallways. Rooms were fine but would recommend upgrading to a suite for a little more room if travelling with lots of luggage. We were travelling with others who...

Pleasant stay at the Historic Anchorage Hotel. Our room was large and clean but plumbing and electrics a bit out of date. Ideally situated within walking distance of shopping and restaurants on 5th and 6th Avenues. No hotel parking but offer a $10/day parking permit at nearby open car park. Could save money if prepared to move the car around...

We recently stayed in this lovely hotel for two nights before departing on a month long cruise. The hotel is attractive, clean, and well kept. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. You can’t beat the location downtown with lots of things to do and very good places to eat all within a few blocks of easy walking. Since we...

Pretty disappointed in our stay. The room was sufficient but the whole place is pretty outdated. The location on the other hand was fantastic. Close to all the major things you require especially the visitors centre. Most things were walking distance. The room was far too hot. No Aircon and only a fan and the window made for very uncomfortable...

Like the prior reviewer I realized I had overpaid when I walked down the hall to the room. The service was nice and luggage was handled for me. The lobby is small but nice looking. The bar area off the lobby is a breakfast area only, not a bar. The room I had was large with 2 double beds and...

The price is way to high for what you get. As soon as I walked through the door I realized I had made a mistake. The room was large however very old. The whole place needs a major remodeling. For the condition of the rooms prices should be more around $80. Also no AC. I wish I had stayed at...

This is such an adorable hotel! It is very clean, and it was neat to stay at a historical hotel. Terry was so polite and hospitable, as were the rest of the staff members. They have the blackout curtains if you are not a fan of the 24 hour light. I personally thought it was neat and didn't use the...

This piece of US hotel history is worth a visit. The rooms are comfortable despite their age. The position is very convenient and central and there is a good fitness room. The buffet breakfast is quite basic but more than sufficient. 6 minutes drive from the airport. Very helpful staff.

Thank Jan V
