We were put here by our breakdown insurers (RAC) after our camper van broke down in France. It's pretty grim, although the receptionist was doing her best to be welcoming. The concrete rooms are tiny and very tired looking. We had a terrible night's sleep. Breakfast was usual budget buffet. It could do with pulling down and starting again. On...

Despite being close to a busy road and resembling portacabins on touch of each other, this hotel is delightful. The staff couldn't be more helpful, rooms are smart, clean and comfortable and far enough from the road to be quiet. The dinner menu was excellent and perfectly cooked with a wide choice and a splendid Hors d"hoevre buffet and the...

We chose this mainly on location and price, as we were a group of 10 cyclists plus support crew of 2 in a car. Doesn't look welcoming from the outside but how wrong can you be. First off we asked about somewhere safe to store our bikes - we were given their conference room! Good start. The staff as has...

due to Brittany Ferries cancelling our crossing (quite a common occurrence) we found ourselves outside Cherbourg with nowhere to stay except to sleep in the car. At 2200hrs we thought a hotel unlikely but drove past this hotel on our way to the port. For 67euros we got a twin room. desk staff were so nice. we didn't expect much...

I stayed here to visit the Normandy WWII coast line and this hotel was the perfect solution. It is a basic hotel, but it is quite good for visiting the region! The food in the restaurant was very nice!!

Not much choice of accom in this little town but this hotel was fine for one night as a base to drive to Utah and Omaha beaches. Small village, walkable from the hotel - 500m. Welcomed warmly on arrival by the receptionist. The bed and room were small but had a flat screen TV, go figure! Dated furniture but the...

We stayed here on the first night of five nights, exploring the D-Day beaches and surrounding histories. The hotel is situated close to the main road and right on the edge of the town of Saint Mere Eglise, which is right at the heart of the D Day story. The hotel was clean and tidy, staff very welcoming and the...

Nice hotel within walking distance of st mere eglise. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The rooms were quite basic but good value for the cost of an overnight stay.

Stayed for a few night with my wife while we explored the D Day beaches and museums. A short walk or drive to the museum and church in Sainte-Mere-Eglise and a short drive to Utah Beach. Located right next to the main road through the landing areas, you can easily find your way to the other museums and beaches from...

This is a very nice hotel, but it has some limitations. We chose to stay in Sainte Mere Eglise because it is centrally located in Normandy, and because the town itself has a significant D-day history. Cherbourg, Caen, Ouistreham, the D-day beaches, and the cemeteries are all within an hour's drive. If you decide to choose this location, you will...
