My 18 year son and I were traveling between Boise, ID and north of Vancouver for Salmon fishing. The Chambered Nautilus fit the bill for the two days we needed to lay over in Seattle. The first night we were in the Ravena Suite ( a very roomy 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen and eating area and pull out sofa...

Spacious, comfortable, private, quiet and good value with good food and professional, friendly service: These are the elements that separate a small inn from a major hotel. The suite my friend and I shared at Chambered Nautilus was exactly as advertised on Bedandbreakfast.com. How nice to come "home" to Seattle's University District after a heavy day at the Pike Market,...

We stayed here for several nights and I was extremely impressed by their bed, it was comfortable and we both fell asleep quickly. Our room was of a decent size and it was nice to have our own private bathroom. The downside is that the owners were not present at all, I've never been to a B&B where you are...

Readers of this review should know that the owner of this bed and breakfast is indeed VERY present. All our guests should know that we live on site and are active participants in the running of our business. I meet about 80% of our guests personally. However, between making sure all the behind the scenes work for your comfort gets...

We stayed at this B&B in July 2014 for 4 nights in the Greenlake Suite. The main house with its dining area and small adjacent garden are absolutely lovely and breakfast every morning was delicious. However, this is a large B&B with many guests, at least while we stayed there (summer months are probably their peak season). It's not the...

First, off I want to say that I am sorry I missed you during your stay with us. In all honesty, I meet about 80% of our guests. I am Joyce Schulte, the owner, and like most of us, I take regular days off, and vacations now and then so I do miss some of our guests. However, a quick...

This IS our place when we travel to Seattle. We discovered this hidden gem several years ago as a place to stay close to the University and Greek Row. Our daughter is a student at UW and also in a sorority, so we wanted to be within walking distance to all the activities; football games, dinner venues and of course...

My July 2014 visit was the second time I stayed at the Chambered Nautilus. We had had a wonderful time on a pleasure/business trip combo (Cascade Suite, highly recommend!) in June, so I was eager to find out how the inn would work for a business trip. It was wonderful! So much more charm and less stress than usual (even...

We think you are an Amazing Find too! My staff was happy to help you with the soaps and we hope you are enjoying them at home. We are glad that you have enjoyed accommodations in both our suites and house lodgings and your kind words about my staff were greatly appreciated, they work hard for our guests and I...

My family stayed here for 1 week and it is by far the best place to stay in Seattle. They have an amazing staff, great food and lovely environment. We will stay here every time we come to Seattle. The rooms are like little apartments. There is no way anyone will ever beat their staff. Helpful, kind and caring. I...

We had to stay in this B&B as the one we picked was booked, and this was a week of many events all over Seattle and the Lavender Festival in Sequim. The signage out front was covered with branches so it took us 3 times going up and down the street to find the Inn. The stairs to the front...

This review requires several misconceptions to be cleared up for all future guests’ benefit. First, we are sorry about the sign, it had gotten slightly overwhelmed by the garden, and has now been all cleared out. As to breakfast, we are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and have lots of alternatives to offer to our set menu. Sadly with this...

We came to Seattle for a two day one night sightseeing trip and found this place on trip advisor. Located in the Uni district, it's a short walk to the express bus route to downtown. $4.50 and 20 minutes later we were walking around the Pike Place Market without hassling the traffic or the parking garage. We were in the...

We chose the Chambered Nautilus because the price was reasonable compared to downtown hotels, and we thought it would be fun to be near the campus. We enjoyed the comfortable common area, including the computer & printer, as we were planning meals and activities. It also worked well for us that snacks and beverages were available on arrival as we...

“We had the Scallop Chamber room, which is on the top floor. It was quiet, clean and very comfortable. Only one window faces east, so the sun did not wake us up in the morning :-) There are stairs to climb, but that was no problem for us at all.”
