Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Totally adequate hotel, friendly staff. Large rooms. On the downside: despite tons of room in the two-room suite, the bathroom is so small that sitting on the toilet means knees in the shower curtain. Why? Also, the free breakfast is really awful. Burned dried out scrambled eggs, bad coffee, had to go out and buy a decent breakfast. I hear it exists in Seattle. The room has an off smell, and the elevator smells like extremely strong cinnamon febreze - what are they hiding? Just a very dowdy hotel with nice people running it.

Staying here after chemo treatments. Convenient, pleasant, comfortable property. Staff are great, make me feel welcome and cared for. Assistant manager front office manager Ben Creamer has helped a lot and Brandon at front desk is a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel for longer stays. Staff has always been friendly. Close to Lake Union and several good food options. The rooms are spacious and the balcony is nice when you can get lake view. Breakfast bar is good but can get crowded. Parking is pretty expensive so be aware if driving.

Stayed here for the Seahawk game on New Year’s eve for 2 nights. Rooms are old and dated. Lots of noise coming from the street. We overpaid, but this was due to offer and demand in Seattle for that time. Lots of better or worst options available.

We absolutely loved it here! From being able to check in early, getting breakfast, our room being clean and the hot tub and pool! We loved the view & amenities. The staff was very friendly and were able to answer any questions we had. Parking was a breeze here as well. Breakfast was fresh and hot, and they didn’t run out of anything.

Nice people, super clean, wacky decor. It's not the prettiest hotel, but it gets the job done. It's an easy walk to the lake and lots of great restaurants. Very close to Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The underground parking is reliable. The snack corner is great. The breakfast bar is fine.

I just returned from a stay at the Residence Inn Seattle Down town. I was in town from Connecticut with a colleague for a conference and stayed from 10/6-10/9. We had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Maria in the breakfast area. She was wonderful, warm and a true gem. She made us feel welcomed and also shared her knowledge about local attractions. We wanted to highlight her as a wonderful part of your team and share about our positive experience with her. Gracias Maria

We are a family of 6. This hotel has the two-bedroom suites and main living area. This is a huge draw for us. The breakfast and indoor pool were very good. Overall, it's a dated hotel. Not a lot of renovation or upgrades in years. Worked for us and a nice get-er-done kind of hotel.

Our experience was highlighted by the overall help the front desk provided us. The crown of the front desk was Shawn. The others were also very service oriented. The hotel itself was just above average, but service always highlights the product.

Read my review from March. I got an email from the house keeping manager admitting to puke being in the room. Then the hotel manager lied and replied to my orginal review stating it was a "new shower curtain". That is untrue and I know the difference between puke smell and puke. Don't trust this hotel. If they hadn't lied on here I would have let it go but they did and my conscious wont allow me to let them get away with that. You couldn't pay me to stay here again. So disappointing that Mariot did nothing when I let them know.
