This hostel is in the nice Belltown neighbourhood between the pike place market and space needle areas. It has an art theme as each dorm room has been decorated by a different artist. They might want to get one of the artists back to paint a nice big sign outside because there is only a tiny one and thus the...

Our stay was great! The location is very good, right between the bustling downtown area, Pike Place Market, and Seattle Center. Transportation is very convenient too, and many buses stop nearby. The hostel uses key cards, and they require every guest to show the key card in the lobby, so security is guaranteed. They have staff at the front desk...

Staff were very friendly, and room was clean and comfortable. First time I have stayed at an American hostel. Located in Belltown. Thought it was safe-- though some homeless folks nearby like everywhere in Seattle. Good choice of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby and just a short walk to Pike Place.

This hostel is a little more pricey but it's definitely worth it. The bathrooms and shower rooms seemed really new and were super clean. There is free breakfast of toast, cereal and fruit which is great. The hostel is really tight on security and you must show your card as you enter. It's in a good locations, near to a...

I've stayed in many hostels and the cleanliness of this hostel puts them to shame. It also has the best HOT shower that I've experienced in any hostel or major 4* hotel in a very cool bathroom. If you like a good shower then this hostel is a good option. My only constructive advice would be that the atmosphere sometimes...

I've stayed in hostels before in Europe and had better expectations for one stateside, but this proved me wrong. The location can't be beat for touristy things - walking distance to the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and more - but the room was so barren and uncomfortable we wouldn't return. Our room was also located right next to the...

I've been in a lot of hostels and this one has surprisingly clean bathrooms and many private showers. The beds are just ok, our room smelled like humidity and was pretty dusty. Nothing I haven't seen in other hostels, though. Staff was really friendly and location is great: close to the public market, the water, and a lot of very...

Warm welcome and goodbye. Fresh complimentary breakfast. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Helpful and always cheerful staff. Great location, security and value for money. Close to bars, restaurants, Seattle centre and Pike Place Market. I don't have any negatives of real merit as the only issue we had was the room temperature which could be slightly regulated by the fan...

Perfect for exploring the city, kind staff, great breakfast, walking distance to a lot of Seattle attractions. This was the trip that made me want to live in Seattle. The hostel is safe, clean, and comfortable. I was a little disappointed in the lack of art. I hope they add more! I thought I'd never be comfortable sharing a bathroom,...

We stayed at the City Hostel in a private room for 4 nights. Overall, it is okay, but certainly not the best hostel I have stayed in. We found the room to be fairly clean. It had a sink, which was a nice addition. Some of the bathrooms were well-kept, but others had leaky showers. The murals were interesting. The...
