Crowne Plaza Downtown Seattle became a good choice. While attending MLA we were offered this hotel but being IHG Platinum Member decided to book by ourselves.
Though Membership was acknowledged and one drink was offered to the member, I find rather rude being a couple that only one free drink was offered. When staying in London Crowne Plaza always two drinks have been offered. Said that, WIFI was free and quite good and our room was on the 26th floor and it was OK.
Staff is very kind and efficient in receiving some books from Amazon.
Location is perfect: though Seneca Street is rather steep, you can take the train from the airport and walk to the hotel without much trouble. This means you can spare the taxi amount and pay only U$3 each passenger. Later, location is convenient to Convention Center and to public transportation. Bus towards Bellevue is one block from the hotel, also one block to take bus towards Starbucks´pretty shop, just to mention two places. The Crowne is at walking distance of waterfront.
Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. Bathroom is also spacious and water in the shower is really wonderful.
Breakfast is OK but the charge is a bit expensive for the choices offered: some fruits, and bread, no sliced cheese, no ham. In spite of it, take notice that you have to walk at least one block to arrive to a coffee shop nearby.Again, staff is kind but it seems rather expensive and offers all the days the same .
Fitness center is open 24/24 hours and though not very big it is clean and the machines are on the new side.

Stayed for one night at this very good hotel ideally located so as to be easily able to walk to most of the Seattle landmarks. The check in staff were efficient and friendly and the concierge guys were helpful and pleasant. Based on the competitive price, location and large clean, comfortable rooms I would definitely stay again or recommend. A 10 minute walk from Westlake if you get the light rail for $3 otherwise it’s $40 in a taxi to/from the airport

As an IHG Platinum member we preferenced this hotel group for our US trip - Seattle being the first stop.

The Good
The location is close to major tourist attractions such as the Pike Street Markets and the Seattle Aquarium and Ferris Wheel

The bed and pillows were very comfortable

The Bad
The worst dining in a 4 star hotel anywhere in the world we have stayed.

The buffet breakfast did not even come with a coffee - the provided voucher states beverages excluded! There were no juices available and even a glass of water was not offered. We have never been to a breakfast that does not include drinks as a standard included offering.

We were given 4 breakfast vouchers for our 4 night stay only to be told at breakfast each voucher only covered 1 person (there were 3 of us) but they relented when we complained. In the end the good was so bad we only had breakfast on two of the four mornings and chose to eat elsewhere.

Most of the hot options on the buffet were barely luke warm.

We ordered fried eggs which took nearly 20 minutes to come (despite only 3 tables being in use at the time) and despite asking for them to be cooked hard they came out barely cooked.

The service in the restaurant was almost non existent and very disappointing. We noticed they automatically included an 18% tip in the bill - just as well because they wouldn’t get a tip otherwise.

We decided to stay at the Crown Plaza for one night while in Seattle. For paying almost $300 with parking, it wasn't worth it. I remember when the name made you think Luxury..well don't let it fool you anymore.

First thing I noticed when I walked in was bunch of clear table around a podium looking thing by the front entrance. Check in was pretty easy and uneventful.

We got up to our room and yet again disappointment in a room that is easily over $200 and doesn't have any working USB ports. They literally only offered one and it was broke. The beds were super firm so if you have back issues or are older you will hate them. The AC didn't go lower than 65 so I was on the warmer side that night.

Our room was not thoroughly cleaned, there was pieces of chips on the floor, a pencil box underneath a chair, the bedskirt had a decent size stain on it. The bathroom sink had issues with water splattering everywhere. There isn't a smart tv which is a shame considering it is 2021. We were told there were two complimentary bottles of water in our room which there wasn't.

We were by the elevators and the rooms were pretty quiet.I didn't really hear anyone outside getting in or out of the elevators. The bath towels were a decent size for someone with a few extra pounds.

It did sound like housecleaning was knocking on our door at 7:45 am...not sure if that was our room or another though..we didn't answer it.

The valets guys were really nice but the hotel charges a little over $50 for it..if you want to self park you have to do it at another location and walk up to the hotel. Also this hotel isn't within walking distance to pikes..ok maybe going to Pikes will be easy but going back is all uphill..not fun.

Overall, I was pretty disappointed in the amenities or lack of.

Dear topasana, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience at Crowne Plaza SEATTLE-DOWNTOWN. I would like to start by apologizing to you for not meeting your expectations and for the inconveniences you faced during your stay. I will have someone from Engineering inspect the room and ensure the USB ports and faucet are operating properly. It was disappointing to read about the cleanliness issues you experienced and the missing bottled water. Your comments will be reviewed with our Housekeeping team to use for training purposes. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we appreciate that you brought your experience to our attention. We take feedback seriously and will coach our team to make the necessary changes so we can provide a better experience in the future. I hope you will give us a chance by staying with us again to show you that your unsatisfactory stay was an exception. Sincerely, Cristy Smith General Manager

I had booked a suite, so when I was checking in , they were offering me some other room with two large beds and giving the very sweet talk spiel, I insisted that I had booked a suite, upon checking after like almost 15 mins they gave me one, dunno what do I call it, I have stayed in suites across the world, dunno if they skimmed me, they sweet talked the best room blah blah was on the 23rd Floor, not realising there were higher floors dunno if the rooms were better.

The bedroom was small, the living room was huge and I guess I'm used to the opposite, the carpet was worn out, the electronics looked like a movie from the 1980s....not at all modern

Top it all when I called from my hometown regarding me ordering online and they said they will hold the packages, hear this when I checked in I was told there is $7 charge pe r package to hold. I told them I was not informed, so they waived those fees but subsequently was charged, nowhere in the world and no hotel that I have stayed have ever charged me for holding packages.

The service with few guest relations was very good and helpful, they waived of breakfast charges and also assisted me to mail a package that was left behind with my boss.

Overall, I would reconsider staying here, there are better hotels at competitive rates to stay

I stay in room 965 and have the impression to sleep right on the highway. The street noise prevents me from proper sleep, there is close to no insolation. On top of that the heating device in the room is so old, it makes the noise of a steam locomotive from 1825. For this kind of comfort they ask a price of 325$/night. No acceptable!

This hotel is a hand away from all the tourist attractions in the center! Few steps and you are down to the ferry, take a train from Nordstrom to Needle Tower, you’ll Find plenty of restaurants and bars around.
Rooms are so comfortable, and if you get lucky and get a room with the tower view, it will stay in your heart forever. Sunset view from the room is amazing!
Bed linens and pillows, are so comfy! I feel like sleeping at home:)
Housekeeping is done on request, but if you call downstairs to reception, anything you need will be taken care of in a minute. Management of this hotel have to know, that their staff is such an asset to the hotel, all the personnel is friendly and is out of the way to help and make you feel comfortable.
I would like to highlight the reception: Jessica, Crystal, and a tall man, security man and the manager, restaurant staff, all were extremely helpful to us! Coming from Europe, it is nice to see such a hospitality in US!
Hotel has ATM machine downstairs, microwave, small convince shop, restaurant is open for breakfast, parking is 50$+, but plenty of parking around.
I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back again!

My friend and I stayed here the weekend of Memorial Weekend. It took me some time to write this because I really had to think of how I can review this hotel given our experience. We booked a "panoramic view" room directly from the hotel site. Opening the door to our room we were shocked to find that the room given to us was not the room we paid extra for, nor did it have a "panoramic view." The room offered on the website had about three windows and the one we got had only one. We kindly expressed our concerns to the manager, however she told us that the room we booked is only for people with disabilities (no where on the website did it say that). We asked follow-up questions however, she couldn't give us a reason and said she will contact her marketing department. Since we were getting no where with the manager we just had to settle for a room we paid more for without the benefits of what we paid for. Our room also had so many cigarette burns on the carpet as well as hair on multiple towels that were supposed to be clean. The only enjoyable thing about this hotel was the marketplace in the lobby, but that's only if you're willing to pay about $8 for nutter-butter crackers and a water. I wouldn't stay here again if it were the only hotel left in Seattle.

Dear teamnicolee, Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your experience at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Please accept my sincere apologies for the difficulties you experienced and for not meeting your expectations. I reviewed our website and when scrolling through the photos of the room with two beds with a view, one of the photos displayed in error was the one ADA room we have with two beds. Unfortunately, we only have that one room at the hotel and it was occupied with another guest. I am so sorry for your frustration and have reached out to IHG to make sure that photo is removed. It was disappointing to read the view room you were given had so many issues. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we will use your comments to coach our team in order to provide a better experience in the future. Again, thank you for sharing your comments. Regards, Cristy Smith General Manager

We stayed at this hotel as conveniently close to the Seattle Convention Centre.
The hotel is well far from been categorised as a 4 star. It is outdated in all aspects; the furniture is cranky, the air conditioning is very very noisy, the wallpaper stained, the bed linen with marks and discoloured ( white looking yellow ) and the carpet old to the point that the room is smelly. The breakfast is expensive and very poor in quantity, with a breakfast area not big enough to accommodate the clients staying at the hotel.
The lobby is old looking.
If you then want to have a drink, bear in mind the personell is slow and disorganised.
This is all on top of the fact that downtown Seattle is full of drunks and homeless that do drugs in plain daylight.
Definitely, a stay to forget !

The hotel arranged transport at a cost of fifteen dollars per person. We used this option and then discovered that NCL had provided free transport for some of the guests. I would suggest that you check with your travel agents or NCL. On the morning of departure from the hotel, make sure you leave plenty of time to get from your room to the hotel lobby.
