The building itself is in dire need of repair. The walls in my room were warped, there was a pipe in the bathroom leading up through a hole in the ceiling and the electrics are truly terrifying - see photo. I was too scared to...More
We stayed in this hotel after finishing our Alaskan cruise on a Sunday-Monday. Now the hotel is about 90 years old and is in the middle of some refurbishing. I liked the classic feel of the place and the old time lobby. There is also...More

Yes, a block and a half away from the Hotel is the main transportation building with trains that go to and from the airport for 3.00. Buses also stop there and you can also get a ride to the monorail from there. A Lyft driver told me that there is an app for local transportation, check into that. There are buses by the score all over. You can walk to Pikes Market from hotel, it is about 8 blocks or so. Also the restaurant next to the hotel is good for breakfast just don't get the Rueben for lunch it is too fatty. Hope this helps
