We stayed here for a night during our week long jaunt around the Perigord. It is located on the outskirts of the hamlet of St. Nexans. The property exudes an air of luxury and relaxation. We were personally greeted by the proprietor and his wife. The grounds are spacious and well maintained, very inviting for a stroll. The rooms are...

We spent two nights in the hotel with friends. The staff and the owners were unfailingly helpful and polite. The rooms were ample and comfortable. We dined there twice and the food was excellent. We had the pleasure of meeting the chef, a young man whom we think will go far. Breakfast was also very nice with coffee and tea...

Once you discover this hotel, slightly off the beaten track but only 10 minutes outside Bergerac, it's the sort of place you'll come back to time and time again. The decor is classic but beautiful, rooms are well appointed and the food is excellent. It is slightly quirky due to the limited rooms so expect to be asked every night...

We stayed several days and all in all we agree with most of the extremely glowing comments. Nothing was left to find fault with the meticulously maintained property inside and out. The grounds and pool are a delight and oh so QUIET one could feel that one had checked into a lovely kind of rest home where the residents can...

We had a nice room and the food was great, especially the night eating out on the grass terrace. What stopped it being a truly great experience was that we hadn't been warned that there wasn't a chef on a Tuesday night, which after a long drive from the south coast was disappointing. Additionally, that night we tried to to...

This was another good find on our French tour. situated not far from Bergerac, this lovely property is set in acres of garden and parkland. all well maintained and just a pleasure to walk around. Four of us stayed in the little stone cottage, away from the main manor. It had a lovely lounge with a great fireplace. One of...

We spent five nights at this delightful property just five miles south of Bergerac. It had everything we were looking for in a hotel, a wonderful old and characterful building, a perfect setting on the side of a hill, overlooking its own extensive grounds, and across to the hills on the other side of the valley, peace and tranquility -...

Amazing hotel set in the hills of Saint-Nexans. We stayed here as we had a flight the next day so needed somewhere to stop. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. We arrived a little early and so dropped the bags off and went into Bergerac for some lunch, the weather wasnt great so we didnt hurry back. The lady welcomed us...

The owners of this property go out of their way to be warm, welcoming and helpful. The property is situated a bit out of the nearest town so a car is necessary to get here easily. The local cat that patrols the area is wonderfully friendly as well :-) One can make use of the pool and the view of...

We stayed here four nights to enjoy the countryside and to visit Lascaux. We did see the caves, but the rest of the time we just couldn't leave this wonderful place, with its grounds exuding gentle elegance, the people so courteous and warm, and the food - ah, the food! The chef provided some exceptional meals, light and 'fun' with...
