The setting is beautiful--on top of a hill with gorgeous views and set in a lovely garden with two ponds. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and nicely furnished though the bathrooms were a bit Spartan and didn't have a bath. Also the rooms didn't have a tv which we found rather annoying. But the beds and bedding were very...

Thank you for your appreciation of the rooms. To keep the place silent, we have chosen not to have TV in every room, but TV is available in the “small library” for those who need it. I am sorry for your bad experience at the restaurant, we have discussed it with the team to find out what can be improved....

We were here for one night as part of a cycling group. It is lovely, I wish we had had more time. The owners live on site and were there to welcome us, explaining a little of the history of the home. They have done an excellent job in renovating/updating the rooms. We had an attic room that very spacious...

Booked through Expedia, the post code did not take us to the house, after a few enquiries we arrived at the most beautiful tranquil hotel. We were given a guided tour by Alice (if my memory serves me well) She is an enormous asset to this venue. Our room was very large, with limed beams and floor. A very comfy...

Never have I wanted to extend a stay as much as I have here. This hotel is a gem, set in a quiet pocket 12km from Bergerac. The grounds are quintessential Dordogne...rolling hills, vineyards, tiny villages in the distance. The staff are attentive and charming. The restaurant is excellent and we were lucky enough to have weather for dining outside...

This hotel was one of many my wife and I stayed as part of a bicycle trip through the Dordogne region. It was by far the best hotel we stayed at in the region. Our room was very spacious with a separate seating area. Two twin beds pushed together made the larger bed ( this seems pretty common in France)...

A surprising little gem close to Bergerac Airport, but in a very pretty and quiet location high in the wooded hills. Perfect in many ways but as usual in France, breakfast menus are always hit or miss ! However, we will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

We spent two nights here over a weekend in mid-March. The venue is stunning, nestled in the hills to the south of Bergerac. Totally peaceful and secluded. We stayed in a superior room, which was well appointed with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view over the valley. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly (without being intrusive) throughout our...

We returned recently from a 4 day stay at the Chartreuse du Bignac. The chateau is undoubtedly in a picturesque setting and the grounds are well maintained and the environment is calm and relaxing. However there were several major disappointments which include the restaurant and the quality of the food, the bedroom and the hospitality of the owners. The restaurant...

The hotel has a private unmade road which was not in the literature. The room was cold and damp and the heating system was not sufficient to warm the room. Dinner was excellent with good service. Breakfast was a rip-off at €23 each with poor service.

A place to feel totally pampered and comfortable. It is lovely that one is greeted by the family and shown to an enormous room with fine decor. It is very quiet and the garden is beautiful with flowers, ponds and even black swans. Dinner was a total delight with all our favourite foods, perfectly prepared, and breakfast was all one...
