We very much enjoyed our stay at this small B & B. The rooms are clean, roomy. The building itself was wonderfully crafted by the owner. Lots of detail work. The breakfast was delicious and loved talking to Richard each morning. He was the chef each morning and always was full of stories of Alaska. We are very glad we...

The facility itself has been perfectly described by the reviewer "Trinilan". Not much more I can add from a descriptive point of view. We stayed 3 nights in Room 1, which had 2 queen beds. Because of the layout of the room, in the evenings we could leave our door partially open and still have privacy. This allowed us to...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Sourdough Sunrise for 2 days in July, 2015. We are so glad that we made the decision to stay here. Our recent trip to Alaska was planned with the goal of enjoying the natural beauty of the place as much as we could. The Hosts, Richard and Sue are long-time residents of...

We very much enjoyed our visit to this small B&B. Richard and Sue told us a lot about what it's like to live in Alaska. They live in the home next door and can come over easily for extra pillows, etc and to cook breakfast. Richard is a woodworker and built the B&B himself. It's nestled in the woods. You...

We really enjoyed our two night stay in this B&B. We stayed in room #1 and it looked brand new. The entire B&B is immaculate. The hosts, Richard and Sue were very friendly and they made a fabulous sourdough pancake breakfast. They had a lot of helpful advice about sightseeing in the area. I highly recommend this B&B. Only downside...

Not only is this bed-and-breakfast clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and reasonably priced, Richard and Sue are very friendly and delightful hosts. The bed and breakfast building was handcrafted by Richard and Sue and is loaded with unique details. Richard gave us a lot of information about the best places to eat, local history, things to do in the area, and...

This is certainly a place we would go back to. We really enjoyed talking to Richard and Sue who gave us wonderful information about the Seward area, both current and past. The B & B is located just outside of Seward and very close to great dinning and glacier viewing. The bed was comfortable. The toilet in room #2 was...

Very convenient to Seward and to the Exit Glacier. An excellent restaurant withing walking distance (Salmon Bake), but also the Apollo in downtown Seward was super. The welcome sign as we drove in was a nice touch. It also let us know first names of those with whom we might be eating breakfast. We knew right where to go and...

Our 2 night stay was May 5 & 6, 2015. The craftsman ship of Sourdough Sunrise B & B is incredible. The house is immaculate. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast delicious! I only hope we will be able to return some day.

We stayed 3 nights at Sourdough Sunrise in August 2014. Richard & Sue were great hosts; steered us to their local restaurant for an excellent dinner when we arrived late, and provided excellent advice for our explorations each day. The house is an amazing work of craftsmanship. We loved their stories of their life there in Seward; they used to...
