We stayed in A4. Incredible view from a comfortable condo unit. Kona Reef condos has great amenities, bbqs, pool, view of spinner dolphins and turtles!. It's just far enough from downtown, easy walk but far from the music and lights. If you are looking for a nice quiet well maintained property the Kona Reef building is a good choice! My...

My wife and I stayed in B32. The room was very nice with lots of space. Great view of the ocean and a short walk to town. The pool and BBQ area was great to have as we used it most every night. The only suggestions I would make would be maybe install a new air conditioner in the living...

My husband and I use VRBO a lot when we travel. We require 2 things of the places we stay. They be clean and serviceable. There were many things in this space that were neither. Upon arrival we had lightbulbs out in the bathroom, the lock was broken on the lanai door, the screen door fell off the track on...

Disclaimer first - we stayed using timeshare exchange points. That means the options for which unit we got were limited, and the "cost" was extremely low. We stayed in unit F12, second floor of the building farthest from the ocean. We asked for an upper floor with an ocean view and that's what we got. The view was excellent even...

We were excited to come stay here and have a relaxing vacation. Too bad! The room itself is fine. But there is construction going on at the resort ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Think it will be nice to sit on the balcony and read a book? WRONG. BZZZZZZZ goes the saw. Want to have a drink and look at the...

Great stay! Absolutely perfect condo for 2 people. Well stocked, could use sharper knives. Comfortable bed, plenty of room. Very clean upon arrival. Great views of ocean, beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Great location, easy access to everything. Plenty of room at the pool and grill area for everyone.

This unit could be so nice but definitely needs some TLC....At check-in we were charged $130 cleaning fee and when we arrived, at the unit, I was very wondering if this unit had been cleaned EVER! (Check-in was a mile down the street and uninformative) Too many dusty nicknacks and very out of date, the floor was filthy and needed...

Wonderful location just a couple of blocks from the town. Nice walking area. Clean bar b que and pool area. We were in A 24 which was a little tired but the location for watching the sunsets from the lanai was beyond perfect. We loved the sounds of the waves but for those not used to this it could be...

This unit is suffering from owner neglect. When we arrived we found several light bulbs burned out, coffee grinder broken, hinge on bathroom vanity broken, floor dirty, living room TV picture with lines running through it, missing remote for bedroom TV, hole in screen door, DVD player unusable with no instructions on how to use it. We complained to the...

The Kona Reef Resort is a wonderful resort. The location is prime (you are less than 5 minutes from historic Kailua-Kona). The resort is reasonably small and staff and guests are extremely friendly. It is located right on the water and has a nice pool and hot tub. Every Monday morning the resort staff provide a complementary breakfast and invite...
