While this hotel resort is at the mercy of its dated design (from the 70's?), it more than makes up for it with its unique features (eg. nightly manta ray viewing and spectacular seascape setting) and excellent management.) Below are some random observations:

Unfortunately, unlike Honolulu, there are no hotel shuttles. Well I guess I shouldn't say all hotel don't have shuttles since I can't confirm that, but Sheraton Kona and others I have stayed did not. Its rent a car, or take a taxi. I understand Uber is limited but also working on the Big Island. Probably going to cost you $40-45 for taxi/Uber.
