We scheduled this through RCI using Disney Vacation Club points. The room was clean and adequte. On the second day we note that the TV did not work and the toilet stopped flushing leaving us with a brown soup. That was resolved except that the TV would go into power save and shut off automatically. The staff do not give...

We only stayed two nights at the Kona Islander Inn while we waited for our condo at another location to be ready. It was recommended to us by our booking agency at a special "red eye" rate of $90/night. Wow, I thought, why not stay our full 9 days there for that price? Thank goodness we didn't. They are bachelor...

We booked this place through Expedia- 3 rooms, for 5 people. First of all, it is not a hotel, it actually has apartments which belong to different owners- no cleaning service or change of towels. Which would not be a problem, if it was advertised as such. Then, the owners provide nothing: no soap, shampoo, or even hair drier. The...

We booked this unit not through the hotel but on-line through an Expedia ad advertising an "Ocean front studio/condo at Kona Bali Kai". Our request was forwarded to an agent representing an owner who (we assume) approved our request, at which point we paid a non-refundable amount to Expedia by credit card for the accommodation for the whole period. Prior...

The Inn itself is older, and its small grounds had pretty tropical plants. While our studio unit (#248) was somewhat austere and the bathroom and microwave/refrigerator area tiny, it was comfortable. We thought the pretty ocean view and great location within walking distance to many restaurants and shops made up for it! We loved sitting out on the balcony and...

Their website shows a clean, beautifully decorated rm w/ fresh furniture. Nowhere in their website nor on the phone do they tell you these are individually owned condos/time-shares and that it's up to the owner on how well the rm is maintained. Our rm, #335, was furnished w/ old thrift shop furniture that was well used. It was NOT a...

There were no wash cloths, no dish cloths, paper towels or toilet paper. We had to purchase our own. Upon arrival, I opened a bottle of club soda which fizzed onto the floor. The only thing available was a white bath towel....it came up dirty after wiping the floor. Saw several cockroaches, which I was NOT happy about. About the only...

The Kona Inn bar is located right on the shore line of Ali Drive. Views of Kailua bay and the pier give visitors a chance to see canoe clubs practicing their skills in the bay. The bar tenders are quick and professional at making the drinks of you choice. You will want to plan dinner and drinks and enjoy the...

They overcharged my credit card by hundreds of dollars and when we went to ask about it they said it was for hidden fees. I had to fight with my credit card company to get and money back. The staff is rude and unhelpful and Shane on them for stealing money from tourists.
