This was stop 2 on a summer hiking trip, tour of the western Austria Alps. First, Lech is definitely a great ski location, but not so much a summer/hiking location. Second, there are many newer properties in Lech with rates similar to the Goldener. Third, I did not experience the 'alpine charm', the friendly staff, the spacious rooms or the...

Service - The hotel is family run and I can actually say I never felt more at home. Everything one needs and much more. From the excellent breakfast, the afternoon snack and the unbelievable dinners we ate there. Sleep quality - The beds were very comfortable. Cleanliness - Spotlessly clean. Location - Excellent location!!! Less than a 1 minute walk...

Superb spa, wonderful chef with at least three dinner entree choices each day, very clean, an intimate place where a solo guest can feel very comfortable and at home. The Kurz family is very friendly. Elizabeth was terrific with the children - taking time to hold them and entertain them (where do you see that in another hotel?). Location is...

A family owned hotel where good and friendly service is really taken seriosly! The construction site next to the hotel makes the arrival a bit demanding. The room was very clean, it was a pitty that our visit was only a short one night. The dinner was excellent as well as the breakfast.

All in all I enjoyed my stay at this lovely hotel. Food is high standards and very good at breakfast, snack after skiing and dinner. Rooms are comfortable and very clean, although you might prefer a room to the back to avoid the street noise from party goers during the night. Ski and Boot rooms are spacious and heated with...

The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with high quality bathrooms and separate toilets. The spa facilities are really special including sauna, hot bath and...

Great hotel; I would stay here again if I would go to Ischl. Let me start with the rooms. We had an upgraded room for two. The only negative thing would be the size: there is no spot to put your suitcase on the ground. If you stay here for a week and you want to spend a bit of...

We visited this ski town in the summer, and this was one of the few hotels that was open. It is a VERY nice hotel, but what makes it the best that I have ever stayed in, is that our room had two bathrooms: one with a toilet and sink, and the other with a shower and sink. Think of...

We just returned from 8 nights holidays in this location. The hotel is very beautiful, well maintained and clean. I really liked our room with the big window over the bed, waking up with superb view on the mountains. The rooms where cleaned every day and it was nothing that i could complain during my stay here. My friends also...
