Positives: Very helpful and friendly owner. Thank you for all your knowledge and kindness, Johann. You are clearly very passionate about your business and people you work with and for. We could see happy faces everywhere. Very polite and sociable staff at the desk. Bacon for breakfast is to die for, delicious! Good overall food and beverage choice. Great, quiet...

Hotel is nice inside and out, views are amazing and vicinity/bus connection to skiing areas very good. Staff was friendly and attentive, cleaning service excellent. rooms are quite large and well equipped with spacious wardrobe place for the whole family. Pool was great, well designed but air temperature for a swim almost unbearably hot. Food was okay but not excellent:...

Well appointed traditional Austrian hotel. Food very good. Rooms in the new(ish) wing spacious and very comfortable. Particularly liked the large walk-in shower with piped in internet radio. Great to relax in after a long day skiing. Hotel caters well for skiers with good secure room for boots and skis and free bus travel to the ski lifts and back...

Hotel had made a mistake, and temporarily settled other rooms, afterwards we received an compensation. Friendly staff, good food. 1 disadvantage, only the bus from 15:30, 16:10 and 16:30 hours stops at the hotel.

I think chain hotels (which all look the same) should learn from Hotel Alphof. Nice, big rooms with balconies, real rugs in the halls, individual style, coziness, four course dinners, afternoon snacks for skiers, smiling staff, sweets at the reception. It has nice swimming pool and sauna with free drinks. Lovely lovely place. I could stay there always.

This is our seventh time back to the Alphof Hotel and it is the only place we come back to time and time again..... Why?... The kind and generous owner Johann makes sure nothing is too much trouble. His head of restaurant George is a real pleasure to know. Hubert, who looks after the bar is entertaining, funny and a...

Spent an enjoyable week here, the weather was amazing which helped. Some amazing walks around a very beautiful village. Our room was big, as stated by others the bathrooms were a tad tired, but very clean. The staff were very helpful, and friendly, and the food consistently good. My only gripe would be the smell of stale smoke in the...

We stayed here for three nights. The worst part of the stay was the consistent smell of cigarette smoke. The bar is at the hotel entrances and they allow smoking inside. Unfortunately, our room was right by the stairs on the first floor, so the smoke came up into our room. We should have requested a room change, but they...

Friendly family hotel. rooms are very nice although the bathrooms could do with modernisation. cleaned daily which was great. very friendly helpful staff. good facilities including swimming pool and sauna - although a little perturbed by the European sauna nudity! Great breakfasts with excellent choice. Evening meals a tad hit and miss as often very unadventurous and bland. All in...

This was our second visit to the Hotel Alphof, and it did not seem to us that there was as much smoking in the bar area as before. The variety and quality of the meals remains high and service in the restaurant is generally attentive and speedy. We did feel however that the housekeeping standards are showing signs of slipping....
