The rooms are appointed based on the years President Carter has been alive. The "Presidential Suite" is the 1970's room. They have a website for you explore on the Plains, Ga website. It is also haunted! On two occasions I have either seen or heard a ghost. They are always in the part of the Inn that used to be...

We stayed at the Plains Historic Inn while attending my high school class reunion. I chose to stay in the 1950 room and was very pleasantly surprised. The room was very roomy, comfy and nice. It was a quiet room with a good-sleeping bed. There is a kitchen on the hotel floor so that you can fix your own breakfast....

Joel, and I visited the Historic Plains Inn to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a nice romantic relaxing evening in the 1920s suite. The room was furnished in period furnishings with a queen size comfy bed, and a sitting area with TV. The bathroom had a Claw footed tub for a relaxing bath or the option for a...

It has been our pleasure, again, to stay at the Plains Historic Inn in Plain, Georgia. What a unique place. On our recent visit we spent a week and enjoyed every day there. We loved our large room the " 1970" room and, loved having the community kitchen/lounging area. I especially enjoyed the porch with rockers where I could enjoy...

I love the Plains Historic Inn in Plains, Georgia! Each room is amazing. We stayed in the 1940's room and it is huge. There is a large sitting area, a dressing area and nice bathroom. Every room is decorated in the decade it is named after. We stroll through each of the rooms and loved every one of them. What...

If you are going to be in Plains to see the Jimmy Carter sites, consider spending the night at the Plains Historic Inn. We loved it. The Inn has been carefully restored and updated. All the rooms are themed by decade. We stayed in the 1920s room. One guest bragged about being in the Presidential Suite. My wife and I...

This charming property was renovated by President and Mrs. Carter (in addition to others, I am sure). they have done a great job. If in the area to see the historic sites or to hear the President teach Sunday school, this is your best option. Friendly staff, nice rooms, and a great porch over looking downtown.

We rented multiple rooms for our kids, and one for us and everyone just kept going back and forth exploring all the cool things in each room... breakfast is included. Theres not much to do in Plains, but this is a cool alternative to staying in Americus. You can...
