We went to the Maranatha Baptist Church this morning to hear former President Jimmy Carter teach us. It was life changing. Then to The Cafeteria to eat a great meal, served by incredible people. After filling our souls and bellies we went to the Inn. The greeting was, as expected, warm caring and friendly. After getting instructions to what we...

We visited Plains to attend Maranatha Baptist Church to hear Jimmy Carter teach Sunday School class. What a visit! If you stay at the Inn on Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, you get prime seating for the class - worth the stay alone! Bed was very comfortable. With the Inn being an old building, you have some squeaky floors and...

Although beautiful and historic (and the only hotel in town) I had to give the Inn a poor rating because I couldn't get any sleep in the huge four poster canopy bed in the Presidential Suite. The bed is difficult to get into and I'm 5'7". Most annoying was the fact that the only blanket on the bed, if you...

We only spent one night, but we're delighted and surprised at how beautiful and nearly luxurious this inn was. We stay in the 1970's room, the Presidential Suite. The room was huge and beautifully furnished. Roslyn Carter assisted in decorating the inn and her fine taste enhanced the decor. Our innkeeper, Jan, invited us to attend a "revival" at the...

We were honored to be given the Presidential Suite in Plains, Georgia for a night. We think highly of the Carters and wished our visit was over a Sunday morning so we could have attended his Sunday School class. Suite was excellent, reminding us of the '70's. Comfortable kingsize bed with a stepping stool to climb into bed. Nice touch!...

We stayed at the inn last weekend when we went to see Jimmy Carter teach Sunday School. It was the perfect weekend. The Inn Keepers were very helpful and accommodating, we stayed in the 1950 room which was very comfortable. I would love to go back and try each of the six rooms. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the...

Gorgeous inn beautifully restored. Spacious rooms with living area and incredible attention to detail. Breakfast in communal area. The Carters worked very hard to make this a wonderful experience for weary travelers. The highlight was meeting former President Jimmy Carter and hearing his Sunday School lesson. He is truly inspirational. Visiting his boyhood home ,etc were very interesting and educational....

My husband and I, along with both our families witnessed the passing of our first cousin (more like a brother) and father within a week of each other. Both legends in southern gospel Crossmen and Veterans Quartets, Boyce had battled pancreatic cancer under MDAnderson's care since August; Larry refused pancreatic and liver cancer treatment and remained at home with Hosporus'...

We stayed in the 1980 suite for one night to attend President Jimmy Carter's Sunday School class. Very comfortable bed with all the amenities you will need. Fix your own breakfast in the AM. Walls are paper thin so there was some noise from the folks next door. With you stay, the owner has seats reserved for you at the...

This Inn was amazing. The people of Plains are very proud of their favorite son, Jimmy Carter, so each of the rooms are decorated according to each of the decades he lived in Plains. The rooms were beautiful and Mrs. Carter helped the owners decorate each room to keep the look authentic. We reserved one room but when we got...
