We decided to explore the Black Hills area, and did plenty of research on "base camps" to park our RV during our stay. Big Pine seemed to have the best reviews, so we called a couple months in advance, and booked 10 nights.
Big Pine campground wad really nice. My husband loved the fact that the owner guided him into the space. Leveling wasn't needed. Each space has a fire ring which was nice. Bathrooms were always clean. Ask for a site close to the bathrooms because it's...More
Excellent family-run campground. The owners go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay - they personally work with you to pick out the perfect site. They lent us an extension cord when ours wouldn't reach. Facilities are clean, camp store is convenient.

This campground is amazing! Everything is very nice. The bathrooms, bath houses, staff, campground, everything. The spaces are nice and large. We will definitely be back! We had full hookup at our campsite. The roads were wide and it was very easy to park.

I assume your referring to Big Pine CG, Custer, SD, it is a very nice campground but sorry to say not familiar with those sites. They are up on the hill away from the main office/store. We did not go up there as we had a pull thru site number 6 (?). Those on top of the hill are further away from in the road and I'm sure quite nice based on our experience with the rest of the CG.
