After staying at the Roosevelt cabins in Yellowstone a few years ago we expected the sleeping cabins to be similar. The cabins are actually exactly like a motel room in most motels. The bathroom is a standard bathroom and the beds are standard beds. The bathroom door was swollen and difficult to close and the beds were very firm to...

We happened over a 2 night cancellation for Legion Lake Resort and jump on the opening. We stayed in a 2 room housekeeping cabin #2 with a view of the lake and easy walk to the lake to go fishing. We typically stay and Sylvan Lake but this location was also nice. The cabin was clean and had a very...

We chose this place because there was no vacancies in our first choices, like Blue Bell Lodge or Sylvan Lake Lodge. Legion Lake Resort Lodge was located in the heart of Custer State Park, so the location is hard to beat, if you like outdoor activities and explore Black Hills. We stayed in a sleeping cabin. Although we had everything...

Rented a sleeping cabin for two nights. $145 a night. One room cabin with two beds and a small bathroom. You're not hanging out in your room much so it's ok. Was clean and even had toiletries. Lake is small but pretty. We fished, but didn't catch anything. There is a nice hiking trail around the lake. Josh was helpful...

Our family wanted to stay in Custer State Park so we chose Legion Lake. We had a cabin which suited our needs perfectly. We didn't want to camp in a tent. This cabin was great. Still in the woods. Still in nature. Close to everything in the park. Great home base for our young family of 4.

I stayed in cabin # 22. Bring your own bottled water. My water was yellow coming out of the tap and very smelly to take a shower in. I was raised on well water that was sometimes rusty- this cabin water was worse. I think the Sylvan lodge area is a lot nicer. There is more to do (boat rentals,...

My experience with the cabin was average as we found the cabin too small for a 2 bedroom cabins and its pricy. I requested for a crib and the lodge people forgot put even after reminding them couple of days before the stay so i had to wait for them to bring the crib after i checked in. The cabins...

2 of us stayed in a small sleeping cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was not that clean (dusty baseboards, hair and a bug in the tub, carpet hadn't been cleaned in awhile). The cabin was quaint, but did not have an especially good view of anything, and was up the hill and quite a ways from the lodge/restaurant/store, making...

Custer State Park is a beautiful place to visit. We had a family reunion there. Some of us camped in RVs at Legion Lake Campground. Others stayed in the Legion Lake cabins. We had previously stated at State Game Lodge cabins and were very happy there. Unfortunately State Game Lodge cabins were not available. The cabins at Legion Lake are...

We stayed with my sister and her two kids. We chose the 7-person cabin, which was a little bigger than we needed, but I'm glad we chose that one. It gave us a little more room which was helpful. The outdoor area had a nice fire pit and the view was amazing. One morning, we saw a herd of Elk,...
