This hotel is in an convenient and safe location close to many great restaurants and sites. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and so comfortable I would have been happy hanging out inside for most of the trip. Highly recommend it!

Good location, easy walking distance to many places. Thought the music was too loud in the lobby. It can be heard in the first floor rooms. I would prefer coffee in the room. Valet was excellent and quick.

Great staff and great vibe. I highly recommend this charming, warm and fun hotel. Do check out the pillow menu prior to sleeping however, as the pillows that came on the bed were too firm for me and I had to go to front desk in the middle of the night to request a softer pillow. They immediately brought me...

A great hotel in the CBD - close to great restaurants, bars and the casino - close, but far enough way from the French Quarter noise. A charming old school building with tons of modern touches. Check it out. Great weekday value too!

Loved loved our stay at the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery! Everyone (from the people at the front desk, the guys outside, restaurant crew and even management/building people) was super friendly. They make you feel comfortable and at home. My only setback was that our room didn't have any windows. Like, we were in a box. It would have...

Good location. Had coffee/breakfast at the hotel which were good. Stayed in a suite on 2nd floor room was nice but bathroom was small with not much counter area. After review of options I decided this was the location I wish to be in: You are within walking distance of everything. Harrah'slocation is a parking garage over and for that gift you can only get at a mall type store the Riverwalk Outlet is very near; the French Quarter and the list goes on. The hotel itself is older...

Loved this place, and Compare Lapine. Will come back for sure! I normally don't do reviews but this one deserves all the accolades everyone has given it. The day we left, the restaurant was named 2016 #1 in New Orleans. Great all around place.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
