I stayed here during a conference and would do so again. The location -- just two blocks from the convention center -- was very convenient. And since my last stay the hotel has added dinner, room service and cocktails to it's lobby bistro offering. This was a welcome addition and one that I hope they maintain. I also must add...

I stayed a few days at this hotel, very good service and great rooms. I want to thank Lisa who was doing security at night, i wanted to fruit and she went out of her way to help me. These are the little things that make me always stay at Marriotts.

We stayed here the night before boarding our cruise. Beautiful rooms, fantastic location compared to everything in town and the cruise terminal. Very friendly staff, especially Lisa in The Bistro. Very accommodating and helpful. Will highly recommend this hotel!

Had a nice stay. Room was comfortable, roomy and clean. When we requested for an extra roller bed, it was delivered soon after. In the breakfast area we were well helped by Rosa, Lisa and Shanique. Because it was quiet at that time Lisa took the time to tell us more about new Orleans. That was very nice and fun.

Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. About a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter and about the same to the Dome. If staying here, note that the entrance to the hotel is inside the onsite parking garage.

We ate in the restaurant both mornings that we were there. We added the breakfast to our room for a small extra fee and it was very worth it. Shanique and Charese in the restaurant catered to our every whim. They were phenomenal. The food was delicious and very filling. We asked for a blow up bed for our room...

Great room and very comfortable and clean. Good location near French quarter and very close to cruise terminal. Also near shopping mall and food court at cruise terminal for breakfast. Safe district. Bar rather quiet and uninviting.

I've stayed several times at this hotel and it is by far my favorite in New Orleans - the location is actually a great middle-ground for exploring the city, only a short walk to the French Quarter or to the Garden District. There are a range of restaurants and bars near by if you don't want to venture too far...

The food at the bistro was magnificent. Tiara, my server at the Bistro made us feel like a part of the family, pouring on the genuine charm and Southern Hospitality. Also she had had impeccable service; she did not fail to impress. It's not every day you make a new friend in a hotel, so you know it's special when...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
