Great Holiday Inn Express. Very clean and remodeled room. Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast buffet off the lobby. Comfortable bed and pillows. Easy walking distance to French Quarter and Harrah's Casino.

The staff at the Holiday Inn Express was very helpful and friendly, especially the girls taking care of the complimentary breakfast, and especially Keywanda Woodside, who was very accomodating! I will be sure to recommend this hotel to any friends who are traveling to New Orleans!

Stayed here twice before and after a cruise. Staff very efficient and fast at checking in and out booking taxis and excursions. Rooms very clean spacious and comfortable. Breakfast very minimal and often run out of items completely still it had fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, bread, pancakes, cereals and a small selection of hot food and take the edge off...

The hotel is located in down town New Orleans. Almost everything is located within walking distance. The French quarter is just one block from the hotel. There are many museums to visit. There is so much to see and visit that you will need to make more than one stay.

The hotel is located about four blocks from Canal Street from where you have easy access to trolleys at1.25 a ride (40 cents for seniors) or 3.00 for a 24-hour pass. If you prefer to walk, you can reach the French Quarter in about 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. You will receive a warm reception from the entire hotel...

Pros: It is conveniently located but much cheaper than staying closer to the popular part of the city. Walking won't take you long to get to Bourbon St or the French Market and taking an Uber isn't very expensive from this property either. There is on site parking! And $29/night is actually pretty low in comparison to other hotels. Additionally...

Overall this is a good choice. Walking distance to much of the French Quarter: 10-15 min to Bourbon St, many restaurants; 20-25 min to French Market, Harrah's, WWII museum. Not many restaurants closer than 10 min. Breakfast was good, décor was updated, quiet at night, seemed safe (we walked back from Bourbon after dark with little concern). Housekeeping was the...

Room was a bit small for a family of 4 but we only slept there. We travel with a cot as well so that takes some room. Everything was clean. Hotel only 15 minute walk to everything you want to see in NOLA. Cinnamon rolls are excellent. Safe area. Park across the street in Lot 146 but pay with website...

My husband and I stayed here for 5 days. It is within walking distance to the city and the public transportation. We are big walkers so it worked well for us. Staff was friendly and helpful, and it also had a free breakfast which helped keep our trip a little cheaper! We would definitely return to this hotel.

This hotel is clean and the staff were great. Loved the glass shower stall instead of a bathtub w/ a shower curtain. And the barn door style door on the bath was unexpected but great as it gave you more useable room space. It is within walking distance of so many casual restaurants and attractions. I would recommend this place...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
