In close proximity to the French Quarter, Canal Street, the Strip and only about 4 blocks from the casino. Good eating places all around the hotel . Walking distance to everything , small boutiques and shops close proximity.

I selected this hotel on the recommendation of a nearby hotel that couldn't accomodate us. I was not disappointed. Unlike my first hotel choice this Holiday Inn had free breakfast and free wifi. There also was a convenient business area with two computers and a printer. The hotel is an easy walk to Canel St. For a trolly or to...

We came to New Orleans for a wedding weekend and booked into IHG because of its proximity to Bourbon St and Downtown--but it was two walk-able blocks away from the fray. The room was clean and would make a perfect studio apartment for a singleton. The space was efficiently used and the bed was heaven. Unfortunately, there were two of...

We are IHG members and this Holiday Inn Express was the best ever. Large room, very clean. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was amazing and the staff never let anything get empty. I was so happy to meet Danielle at reception after reading other great reviews, she is a great face to have at the counter, very...

This hotel was a nice clean accommodation, located close but not too close to all the action. Staff was nice. Breakfast every morning was a plus. Did not like the $30 fee per night to park. Parking Lot is small so when it's busy and the lot fills up, you have to park across the street in a paid parking...

Stayed for 2 nights. Car park attached for a fee, $29 a night I think but other options around the immediate area. Nice room, comfy bed and clean, air con not the best but not unbearable heat. Breakfast included in rate, bakery, omelet, etc, basic but free. Coin laundry on site which was great after a road trip and market...

I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express New Orleans Downtown for a convention. The location is very convenient (fairly near the convention center, the WW2 museum, and the downtown attractions. The best two things about this hotel is that it was recently renovated and is in a cental location close to everything. We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend and it was busy. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
