We found this little gem at the last minute. didn't have any balconies left, but did send up a complimentary bottle of champagne since it was our anniversary (This may be standard, but it was still a nice gesture.) The entrance is sits half way between Bourbon and Royal. Convenient to everything. Definitely beats staying at a chain hotel... Ain't...

The Mazarin is a fine place to stay while visiting New Orleans. The location is good, the facilities are clean and comfortable and the people working there are friendly and eager to help. The hotel's bar is around the corner, which seemed odd at first, but it worked out great. Really good music all night and yet we weren't bothered...

Our recent stay at the Hotel Mazarin was wonderful in every way; including the great location, the classy & well kept property itself, a very professional & efficient staff, and the lovely center courtyard which we enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. I was also pleased that the hotel did honor my request for an upper level room away from...

Between the time you make your reservation and the time you stay there, a number of things could happen. A few of them might be that your credit cad was lost or stolen. You should be aware that this hotel charges your first nights stay about 3 days before your scheduled arrival. By not informing the hotel of a new...

Everything about Hotel Mazarin was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, the staff were amazing and so friendly and the location of the hotel was phenomenal. One of the best parts is the amazing free breakfast buffet that has pretty much anything ones heart could desire. We will not stay any where else but Hotel Mazarin on our future trips...

Great location just off Bourbon but without the noise. Well maintained and reasonable rates. Breakfast selection was pretty good with attentive service. We were able to check in early and get a later check out which was nice. Will definitely stay at Hotel Mazarin again.

This is really a beautiful property. My favorite part was sitting in the courtyard for breakfast. They have a nice selection for breakfast. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and nice linens. It has a very small refrigerator, but fit water bottles and pop cans well. The concierge, Janet was excellent- I called prior to our arrival and she...

A wonderful hotel just off Bourbon Street. Courtyard for breakfast and drinks was fabulous and typical New Orleans as far as architectural and design was concerned. Overall our experience was exceptional and would be happy to recommend this boutique hotel.

This beautiful hotel had the look and feel we were hoping to find in the heart of the French Quarter. Wonderful buffet breakfast served in the gorgeous courtyard with its centerpiece fountain. Small bar was quaint and friendly. Room was spacious and spotless. The staff, from the valet who met us as soon as we pulled up in front, to...

We stayed 2 nights with some friends in the Hotel Mazarin and we loved this hotel PRO : - Location : If you go to N.O. for the fun, as most of the visitors do, this hotel is the right place. Just a few yards from Bourbon street, but still a little bit far away of the noise. Perfect place...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
