I've stayed here twice in the last few months and found it wonderful on both occasions. The rooms are recently very nicely remodeled, and the staff is great. The food in the restaurant is superb. The bar, although a bit pricey, is fantastic, and it's a great place to wind down (or gear up). I was pleasantly surprised, as I...

My wife and our 2 Yorkies planned on staying 3 nights, but stayed for 2 nights only. They take dogs, but when we got to our room, there were many problems. We had driven 8 hours, so the dogs were hungry. They were supposed to have bowls for the dogs, a sign for the door, and pillows for them to...

Here's our deal: We stay elsewhere due to comped rooms but after a day touring, walking the French Quarter, playing in the Harrahs Casino across the street, there is nothing like the calm, settling, classy feeling you get when you go up to Polo (2nd floor-use elevator in lobby)as there is a completely different venue then the aforementioned places that...

Over the past 20 years, we've stayed in six other hotels in New Orleans before the Windsor Court and I have to say this was the best stay ever! It helped that we got a good deal on the room, but you will not do better than their full suite, especially if you travel with kids like we do. The...

We stayed here for a wedding anniversary getaway. I had booked a junior suite. I was thrilled when they upgraded us to a full suite. The room was very clean, spacious and nicely furnished. I loved the twice a day housekeeping and turn down service! First night, we found pralines on our pillows and the next night -- chocolates. On...

The hotel is a very nice upscale hotel perfect for couples, families or business travelers. Although the hotel has been somewhat "updated" it still has lots of room for improvement. The bathroom needs significant updates. Pros: staff very professional and helpful, rooms are large, jr. suites are a very nice size, bathroom a very good size but needs to be...

We stayed at Windsor Court for 4 nights and were very happy with the hotel. It is not in the French Quarter, but on the outskirts off Canal Street. We stayed the Windsor Court in midMarch with our daughters (9 and 11) and had a wonderful experience. Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
