We stayed at Windsor Court for four nights and will recommend it highly. The location was within walking distance to all the sights and restaurants and the room (a suite) was spacious and very comfortable. Concierge service was very helpful, arranging tours and suggesting terrific restaurants. We plan on a return trip and will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Windsor Court Hotel in New Orleans for five nights in late June. From the airport we took a $33 cab ride (fixed rate) to the hotel. Construction going on which caused a delay leading to the hotel but once you turned the corner the hotel entrance is just beautiful. Entrance was nicely landscaped, fountain in the...

This hotel has some good things and not good things but it does not deserve the star rating it has. The positive - the staff are mostly great, Polo Lounge is good, food is good and rooms are fairly spacious. On the downside, the room was dirty in ways I will not detail here, but needless to say it was...

We only stayed one night since we stayed 2 nights at Harrah's as well. The service was spectacular from the moment we entered until we walked out the door. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there and it showed in their customer service. Loved our suite which was beautifully appointed. It is an older hotel, but decorated beautifully. Had lunch in...

What a lovely hotel with great service. Although I did not stay here, I did attend a jazz show in the evening in the hotel's cocktail lounge. The cocktails were wonderful and so was the service. One of New Orlean's best kept secrets!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
