As usual, my girlfriend's and I made our yearly pilgrimage to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and stayed at the Q&C. The main door to the lobby isn't clearly marked at first glance, but after coming/going a couple times we got the hang of it. The actual lobby area sort of morphs with the bar and dining area, so if...

When we first walked into the lobby, I wasn’t sure if the earth tones and leather couches were a good fit with colorful, gaudy New Orleans. But it didn’t take long for me to appreciate that the Q&C Hotel is styled to be a tribute (or, given the fact that we were there over Valentine’s weekend, a love letter) to...

I loved this hotel. It was very clean and very comfortable. Lovely seating areas downstairs and good bar area and good food. One little detail is that for the size of the bathrooms in the rooms they could have had a bathtub. And the bed pillows are just not comfortable enough. Everything else has been perfect.

We stayed here for 4 nights during Mardi Gras. The hotel is clean and the staff are beyond accommodating. Only issue for us was the location was hard for us to cross the street during the parade to get to Bourbon street.

The QC is a charming boutique hotel, located just west of the French Quarter in the arts district of New Orleans. We had a marvelous two day stay in the loft type units. Very eclectic rooms which was a refreshing departure from the modern, generic rooms of the big chains. Very active, but not noisy bar in the evening, great...

Wonderful service and location with an inviting lounge when you enter. Bathroom was a bit cramped and like other reviewers the noise level from the heating and air was more than expected. Bar is fabulous with a great atmosphere.

No complaints! Check-in was a breeze which was unexpected given the time of year. The windows do not offer ANY sound insulation so expect to hear everything that is going on at street level 24/7. The location cannot be beat for parades - we never had to use a public restroom all weekend!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
