Liked the fact the premise's 20-30 mins away from Louis Armstrong New Orleans Intl' Airport by car. It's also located a few blocks away from both Bourbon and French Quarter---car wasn't needed as everything could be reached 20 minutes maximum, by walking. I didn't like the layout of the room I was first assigned. Immediately front desk put me into...

From the past reviews everyone said that the hotel staff was very friendly and I did not find that. Upon checking in we were given a room where the TV was not working and the refrigerator was leaking. Called down to the clerk and Troy said that the cable company was switching to digital and some of the TV's were...

I visited for a weekend - my first time to NOLA. Beautiful older hotel with an amazing location, just off Canal St. and across the road from the madness of the FQ. Close enough to all the action but not IN it. The service was extremely polite and warm, and we were able to check in at 11am on a...

Stayed here with friends for 3 nights in January. Great location, reasonably priced and clean and comfortable. The rooms are reasonably well appointed and even though I was in an interior room with no windows, it was still very comfortable. Looking forward to returning here when I'm in Nola again.

The Pelham is a small yet charming hotel located a few blocks from the French Quarter and Harrahs. The rooms are a bit on the small side but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a room with a window and there wasn't much street-level noise. However, the walls are a bit thin so you may...

Just stayed here for a weekend in New Orleans and loved it here! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they had our room ready for us when we arrived a few hours early and let us store our luggage with them after we checked out since we did not fly out until the evening. Our room was very nice...

First let me say that Troy at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. He got me extra wash cloths when I needed and gave us directions to several places we inquired about. The room (101) was located on the first floor right behind the front desk. We had a window that overlooked the street and would often see...

Service was great - Troy at front desk was full of great info and suggestions on spots to see. Room was very clean. Great location. Good price. We used valet service - worked out great for our visit. Will definitely stay here again. They did have sight seeing buses that would pick up and drop off at the main door.

This hotel was in walking distance of pretty much everything we wanted to do. Walls are thin and neighbors were mercilessly loud, but the room was regal with four poster beds, a mini fridge, storage space for our 6 night stay, plus fresh coffee downstairs in the lobby.

Short 3 day stay was nice. Close to canal and French quarter. Staff was extremely nice & helpful especially Ms. Kenya. Rooms are a little small but very clean and beds comfy! The ruby slipper dining adjacent to the Pelham had delicious food. Who needs a big room just to sleep especially when there is good service and great food!!!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
